Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
I refused to dance on a string for those runts! I always did my in job.them half the phone calls were from management. They don’t even know how to do their own job.

Yep if it has something to do with delivery, I agree. I don’t do meet points or help the company with delivery on my cell phone. Purely representational.28 years. The first 10 years had to find a pay phone if I wanted to make a call. Very rarely used my cell phone for anything work related. They can communicate through the diad.
They tend to ask a lot of questions on what they should do after they’ve had several thousand dollars worth of grievances shoved up their ass in the last couple weeks.I refused to dance on a string for those runts! I always did my in job.
Didn't use my phone for representation either. That was saved for AM or PM time in the building.Yep if it has something to do with delivery, I agree. I don’t do meet points or help the company with delivery on my cell phone. Purely representational.
jesus christ PKG ops really think everything is about themHow is automation going to replace a delivery driver walking a package up to someone's front door?
Nope I always answer the phone when one of the people I’m representing calls. I had a lot of fun today telling them to take back their stops that they couldn’t get done for their eight hour day. Maybe next time management will do their job and set them up properly.Didn't use my phone for representation either. That was saved for AM or PM time in the building.
Yes, I think you’re correct in theory, but in practice so far, it sucks. And how the hell do we not have any idea what kind of volume we’re gonna have for the day? How are they always surprised?jesus christ PKG ops really think everything is about them
automation means we can optimize the flows (and thus feeder runs) in a way we never could before due to human limitation
Don't know how us stewards got anything done before cell phones.Nope I always answer the phone when one of the people I’m representing calls. I think I got my first cell phone in like 2003. I honestly don’t remember how the hell we got by before that. Using customers, phones and pay phones which don’t exist anymore.Don't know how us stewards got anything done before cell phones.
It's amazing how many excuses some people make for being scared.

And the possible good people that should be promoted to management will leave.Back then UPS paid way above minimum wage (think 3X+) they had the choice to hire who they wanted as an employer of choice - hasn’t been this way for 2 decades. Because they hired quality people, they could promote exclusively from within. The next 2-3 years will suck as management will only get worse.
710 laid off a crapton and now are hiring again. LOTS of non union Class A's when I trainedSleepers?
