Wasn’t he president before? Did he stop these gay couples from getting married and being just as miserable as any other straight married couple? 😂

I cannot for the life of me understand, changing my life due to a presidential candidate winning or not winning.
The Supreme Court lied to the public and said they wouldn’t overturn roe v wade, but then overruled roe v wade after trumps term, which Trump took credit for, is it so hard to believe they’ll overturn the right to gay marriage?

I never heard the Supreme Court say that once. Matter fact, most of the justices thought it was a bad law, and would likely be overturned at some point including Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

And to your point Trump had very little to do with the overturning. So why are they worried about a president, overturning gay marriage?

Donald Trump doesn’t care about gay marriage. Donald Trump doesn’t care about abortion.

Both of those things have been taken out of his hands and he’s more than happy to let it rest with the Supreme Court ruling. There’s nothing politically in it for him.

Trump of course didn’t actually do it, but he appointed 2 judges which allowed them to do so, and he’s taking credit for it
I’m just saying it’s not out of the realm of possibility of it happening

Their reasoning is if a democrat was elected they may have been able to elect a judge or two and sway the conservative rulings

Silly reasoning and the judges Trump picked for his Supreme Court have ruled against him many times.

It’s simply fear mongering.
The abortion issue is becoming a dead issue issue as well. Women Did not turn out to vote against Trump, they did however show up to vote on abortion rights for their states.

Despite the fear mongering about that issue as well, it appears most women are very happy to vote on this issue. Much to the. Chagrin of Democrats. They lost a major issue to to fearmonger over.

You don’t see the point whatsoever? All those judges saying roe v wade is law and precedent, then go and change it?

I’m just saying, it’s not unreasonable to think they will do the same to gay marriage. Why do you think otherwise?

Roe v wade was never precedent setting. It was an unconstitutional law that was always thought to be on shaky ground and managed to make it 50 years before it was rightly overturned, and given back to the States.

No one talking about changing gay marriage it’s nonsense.

Because there are gay conservatives too. So very likely they aren't going to be affected. Abortion is viewed a lot differently than gay marriage. When it comes to gays the big issue is men wanting to be in womens restrooms and playing girls sports.

This SCOTUS followed the Constitution and returned abortion to the States. SCOTUS in 1973 was wrong to make it Federal law.

There are women conservatives also

Melania Trump recently came out and publicly said she thinks government should stay out of a women’s business the entire term of the pregnancy

Abortion lacks a clear textual foundation in the constitution, a much stronger argument was made for same sex marrage through the Due Process Clause and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.

Is she a constitutional scholar or lawmaker or Supreme Court Justice? No?

Who cares what she thinks? Now The federal government is staying out of abortion issue. Most seem pretty pleased.

Ok well I just thought you would have been interested to watch it since you said you never heard any Supreme Court justices say they wouldn’t overturn it and no mention of precedence and the video shows exactly that
They would have to make a pretty sound argument against the 14th amendment due process and equal protection.

It’s just not gonna happen. They would have to ban all marriage.

Interesting all the talk about how bad the economy is and inflation and people not able to afford anything, yet we just had a record breaking Black Friday sales lol

Ain’t that the truth. I feel very grateful my dad taught me about credit and paying my debts.

So many people I know are paying as much on their cars each month I pay in rent. I was reading something from Dave Ramsey saying how much people owe on their cars each month, and If they instead bought what they could afford in cash and put the monthly payments in a 401k they’d have millions for retirement
