I’d rather see the entire world go up in nuclear hellfire than Russia become the next China personally.
I’m not sure what y’all are worried about, you get to go to heaven anyways right?
How is Russia going to become the next China? They had some of the worst demographics of any country before the war and hundreds of thousands of young men have either died or fled the country. They're are aging out as a viable country.

He doesn’t want to fight, he wants Ukrainians to die, for some geopolitical strategy that they aren’t interested in.

Oh just let them in. Yeah no one is just gonna “let them” free of charge. Ukraine will become a great trading partner for European allies and US.

Crying about mainstream media shows you have nothing to add here but are just triggered because it hit the mainstream media part of your conservative outrage.

Yes, Ukraine could be a puppet state deeply indebted to nato at this point that is mineral rich, including farm soil. I see no point in letting Russians just march into Europe and steal from America.

We have made big investments in deterring Russian aggression and fighting the war. That isn’t out of goodness of our hearts. This also includes Trump during his first term.
You think Russia with about 140 million people, limited industrial capacity, and few allies is going to invade a NATO country?

Donbas could be a reasonable compromise.
I could see ending Russian aggression into European territory with donbas
Oh so after a couple hundred thousand dead and wounded and wasting hundreds of billions of dollars, it's all of the sudden reasonable to accept the terms that were offered before the invasion.

Why did Democrats help push them to reject that compromise before the invasion?
But Ukraine becomes a NATO ally.
Lol.
Think you realize how silly you’re to bring up nazis
You brought up Nazis sweetheart.

In fairness the Russians did attempt to conquer the entire country. I may have missed it but when did Putin say just give us the Donbas and we'll stop there? And the Donbas used to be majority ethnic Ukrainian but the ethnic Russians there with Moscow's help drove most of them out of their homes. If a country is trying to maintain its sovereignty they have a right to repel invaders. If anything the Ukrainian war exposed the Russian military as poorly equipped and lacking training.

It’s important to have a clear head and realize reality.

Ukraine did put up a fight and mostly thwarted Russia but now it is at a standstill at best. They took heavy casualties as did Russia.

Russia will get Donbas

Ukraine is not getting into NATO

The only way this changes is if other countries join the conflict. Raising the threat of nuclear warfare, unnecessarily.

This war showed that Russia is not a major world player. Just a regional player. There is no valid reason for the rest of the world to risk nuclear war over Ukraine losing Donbas region.

Wars have consequences. Ukraine and Russia both are suffering from them. It’s time to end it.

That was not what Russia wanted with this invasion. Stupid point republicans on this forum are holding too. This isn’t about Donbas, this is about the whole of Ukraine.
Why did Democrats help push them to reject that compromise before the invasion?
Because they never planned on stopping at Donbas. They don’t plan on stopping after peace negations either. They will dispute and dispute until shown real force by nato.
Their goal is Ukraine as whole, why they are so desperate to keep it from becoming a NATO ally. NATO is not a threat to the sovereignty of Russia making Ukraine an ally, they are a threat to their ambitions in the region.

You brought up Nazis sweetheart.
I didn’t bring up nazis at all. You’re the one confusing NATO’s formation with the nazis who no longer existed when NATO formed.
There was more than one dictator in WW2 with European ambitions.

They had agreed to it before the invasion.

Because the negotiations failed.

The thing that bothers me is when this war started there were those here that were saying Ukraine should just surrender because it's futile.against a bigger, stronger military. We always talk about standing.up to government oppression here in the States but we're very cavalier about others fighting for their right to exist as a sovereign nation. Ukraine so far has proven all the naysayers wrong. We can't continue throwing money at it but we're now down to giving up the Donbas and Crimea instead of the whole country. Had Ukraine surrendered in 2022 they'd have lost the entire country. The Russians are notorious for taking the resources for themselves and crapping on the locals. Remember that Stalin starved millions of Ukrainians to death. The Ukrainians sure remember, and are motivated. It may be futile in the end, but at least they aren't giving up everything which folks like DIDO would be happy to see done to them.

So the Russians said "nope, negotiations have failed, so we're just going to take the whole country instead of just part of it?" Really?

I've already discussed this with you in depth in another thread months ago.

They had essentially reached an agreement and the Western countries pushed them to go to war.
I thought there were negotiations AFTER the war started and the Russians attempted to take Kyiv? That was when the U.S. supposedly tanked.the talks. When exactly was this agreement and how did the West push them to war? Because their puppet president got deposed? The Ukrainians were getting the upper hand in the Donbas against the Moscow backed ethnic Russian rebels? A lot more to it than the Ukrainians listened to Washington. rather than Moscow.

Yes buddy they were threatening to do that. That's what they were negotiating to prevent. The Western nations including our own pushed them to go to war. Did you really not know this? Really? Hurr durr. Really?

I do often wonder if things would’ve been different, had Trump won in 2020. Personally, I feel this war could’ve been averted, and the war was mostly to enrich. The machine for Joe Biden, and his cronies. I do not believe the Biden administration cares one bit about helping Ukraine mostly about lining the pockets of defense contractors. And to a lesser extent, weakening Russia with a protracted Long ground campaign. The amount of money we’ve given to Ukraine is absurd when you think about the fact that we have really no idea where it went completely. There is zero chance I trust anything the Biden administration did.

Hurr durr yourself. Name the Western nations pushing them to go to war? When? U.N. meetings? Behind closed doors according to Reddit keyboard warriors?
