Ukraine launching offensive? Putin started this war, has illegally annexed land that they still haven’t given back and now have North Korea helping them. I don’t see how you can call any actions from Ukraine on the offense

I’ll watch the video you linked later when I have more time though, thank you
Yeah, they launched an offensive. And that’s the thing about war. It’s only illegal if you lose. Ukraine tried. They were not successful. Even with our billions and weapons. Because they certainly wouldn’t have had much success at all if if they had to do it on their own without our help.

Largely because of Democrat policies people like you supported.

Democrats lead on their knees with weakness, and it emboldens evil dictators like Putin.

The world is less safe with weak Democrats in charge.
The last four years the world has been on fire. There’s really no debate on that. The Democrat that was previously in the office certainly embolded the war minded. A frail old man who could hardly stay awake in meetings, and could barely say a coherent sentence is not sending a Signal of a strong America.

you’re right, but remember Ukraine willing gave up their nuclear weapons and agreed to be a non nuclear state with the agreement that they could keep their land and independence and have protection from America

“In 1994, Ukraine agreed to transfer these weapons to Russia and became a party to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, in exchange for assurances from Russia, the United States and United Kingdom to respect the Ukrainian independence and sovereignty in the existing borders.”

Try reading it.
The article says there was a deal on the table.
Then Joe Biden and Boris Johnson offered Zelensky 1.43 BILLION dollars to reject peace.

You have been fooled into supporting a proxy war....

The talks of March 29 ended in the expectation that the draft agreement would be initialed by the principals, laying the foundations for a compromise peace.

An even bigger obstacle to further talks may have been the arrival in Kyiv on April 6 of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. “Johnson brought two simple messages to Kyiv. The first is that Putin is a war criminal; he should be pressured, not negotiated with. And the second is that even if Ukraine is ready to sign some agreements on guarantees with Putin, they [the NATO powers] are not.” Three days after Johnson returned home Putin announced publicly that talks with Ukraine “had reached a dead end.” For his part, Johnson promised Zelensky $130 million of military equipment and $500 million kin financial aid, while President Biden announced a $800 million military package to Ukraine.
I read it. They talked past each other. Nothing was set. Of course the NATO powers wanted a proxy war. But when have you seen Putin say to the international community that he was willing to end the war by giving the Ukrainians what they want? Do you think the only thing holding Ukraine back from pursuing peace, giving Russia what they want, is Washington and London? They don't want to cede territory. But they're going to have to but Russia is going to have to accept Ukraine's right to exist and be protected by NATO. Not NATO troops or missiles in Ukraine, but NATO coming to their defense if Russia or anyone else tries to conquer Ukraine.

I’m aware. And that was foolish.

You’re right Foolish for them in hindsight, but arguably better for us the less countries that have nukes, and we agreed to help them.

Russia is teaming up with North Korea and most likely Iran. We have to step up eventually to Putin. Obama was seemingly too weak on them, maybe Trump can be the one to make Putin look like a bitch

So why did Obama abandon them?

Because Democrats are weak and that makes the world a less safe place.

Contrary to what the news media says I do believe Putin respects Trump I do not believe they are allies. Will see if that equates to a more manageable Russia.

Clearly not because it says they left negotiations with the expectation that both sides would sign on.

Yet here you are denying the reality that Western countries tanked the deal.

You were fooled into supporting a proxy war.
Wasn't fooled into anything. Russia was not provoked into the war. Surely you're aware of Ukraine's famine history with Russia? Ukraine had every right to maintain their independence and sovereignty from people seeking to dominate them. To say that Russia only wanted the Donbas and Crimea with a strip of land between the two has not been born out by Russia's actions. Putin was furious that his puppet was driven out of office. And until Ukraine drove them back they were at the edge of Kyiv. I guarantee if the Ukrainians had surrendered they would have been absorbed into Russia. But as I've said repeatedly to stop the war at this point means both sides making concessions. My way Ukraine keeps most of their country. Your way the weaker country is taken over by the bigger country. There was never any deal completed that would've given both sides what they wanted. And you left out "The talks of March 29th ended in the expectation that the draft agreement would be initialed by the principals, laying the foundation for a compromise peace." That's not quite what you said. And it was the seventh round of negotiations. Boris Johnson showed up about a week later. Washington and London offered help. Think Zelensky never asked for help before that? He was begging. The Ukrainians wanted to drive Russia out of Ukraine, not be conquered by them. If you really think all Putin wanted was just to take the area he seized already you're either naive or disingenuous. An appeaser. We all know what appeasing this kind of people leads to.

"Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem appeared to stumble over her words in an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash on Sunday as she claimed Americans “can’t trust the government.”

The State of the Union host quickly interrupted Noem to point out: “You are the government!”

Kristi Noem is indeed the government. Checkmate, Republicans! The Democrats are back, baby!

CNN’s Dana Bash pressed me this morning about data privacy and security leaks. Let’s set the record straight: My family and I had our personal information exposed by the Biden administration—a blatant act of political weaponization.
