Let's also remember that "DEI" stands for "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion." Not "Diversity, Equality and Inclusion." It's obviously leftist.

In conversation, leftists will often refer to "equality" when they actually mean "equity" to try and seem reasonable to the common sense normal folks. Occasionally because they don't actually know the difference between the two words.
