The dirty little secret is a lot of of people in the background in NATO were saying Ukraine could join NATO when in fact, they were never going to allow them to. They were the flames for this proxy war.

Ukraine lost the war but as long as Zelensky is in charge Ukraine will never agree to a negotiated peace.

I'm not sure "remain neutral" is an option when half their country is somewhat aligned with Russia rather than an independent Ukraine.

It's not just external forces, it's internal. Basically the entire world is trying to moderate a civil war/territory dispute.

Never going to end until people accept that.
