THE TRUMP 2024 THREAD

He's the president. Bad idea to say/propose a lot of dumb stuff and say he's just trolling. That's not good leadership and people notice it.
I agree he shouldn't do it but he enjoys pissing off people too much. After what they put him through the past few years I can kind of understand it.
He enjoys giving the left agita. They’re really the only ones that take it seriously.

So voting will now be a choice between teh science and owning teh libs.

How’d it go last time when Trump said they had evidence of massive voter fraud?

They lied. They had zero evidence. Fox News got hit with almost a billion dollars in fines

Maybe it’s true this time. But they’ve lied before
It wasn't Trump who said it on FOX that led to that lawsuit. And Trump went through a year of lawfare before getting elected. How'd all those cases go? Trump has been attacked from every angle possible since he announced he was running for president in 2015. Went through 2 bogus impeachment trials. Came within millimeters of being assassinated. He's got every right to believe things were rigged against him after the way he has been treated. But DOGE is different. It's an attempt to clean up Washington. And Washington is fighting back any way they can including characterizing Musk in the worst ways. But understand this: if Musk and company are making all or most of it up it'll come out in court. He'll have to present evidence. If Democrats regain the House will be interesting if they demand Musk present evidence there. Because a lot of what Musk is finding was perpetrated by Democrats. Who just happen to be the ones trying to stop him.

You hit Trump and he likes to hit back extra hard. Tweak noses. As president he should take the high road but you can't blame him for punching back. If they could get Biden in a press conference at all he was thrown softballs. But Trump regularly takes questions and it's a bunch of gotcha questions that he gets impatient with. So he has fun with it. But as president that's probably not the best idea. Rise above it.

why is it whenever I bring up a certain point that goes against yours you bring up unrelated cases?

“It wasn't Trump who said it on FOX that led to that lawsuit. “

Trump and his team were the #1 spreader of “Evidence of massive election fraud”

Do you not remember Powell and the crazy pillow guy and all the rest? Trump every day saying the election was rigged and they were going to show it soon? How many times did we hear 2 more weeks? The kraken?

Would be really bad for the president to get some softballs wouldn’t it

This is why open-ended support for Ukraine with no realistic end goal in mind has been a bad idea. And that likely would've continued if Kamala had been elected in November.

I very strongly support Ukraine but things were always going to get worse for them the longer the war continues. Europe really needs to step up for them right now.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

What does Europe need to do?

Not sure I understand your point. If we didn’t support Ukraine then Putin would have stopped sooner?

We should have been realistic after the failure of the Ukrainian offensive in 2023 and worked toward an off ramp then.

The Biden administration had no intention of doing that actually, they intended to ramp up the war with more funding to the detriment of the Ukrainians. Even though it had been unsuccessful thus far. Even being generous it was a stalemate with Russia, taking land that it has no intention of ever giving back.
