Should a Federal district judge have the power to hold up the agenda of the president? Seems to me at that level it should be a Supreme Court decision. Congress created the lower courts, not the Constitution. So Congress can dismantle the lower courts too if they become a partisan tool. And they have.

You say the Republicans have complete control but the margins are narrow and the Dems are filibustering in the Senate. Unlike the Dems who are in lockstep, the Republicans aren't all on the same page either.

Not much in the three months this Congress has been in session(partly under Biden). You do know they are still under the last Biden budget? Had a non binding resolution in the Senate the other day to protest tariffs against Canada. Four Republicans crossed over to support the resolution.

If you watch the video, you would see that it was pointed out that both sides like to do this so any Congress is going to be reluctant. And that’s unfortunate.

I really like and respect Thomas Sowell. Many of Trump’s tariffs from his first term did last for 4 long years and they were continued with Joe Biden. And it wasn’t ruinous. This could all just be strategy from Trump, and these may not be tariffs that last just like Sowell mentioned in the video. My personal opinion is that Trump is trying to level the playing field with trade and actually make it free or more free. We shall see.

The end result is usually more manufacturing moving back into the US. Although things like foreign cars "made" in the US are mostly just assembled here from foreign made parts. It does still create more US jobs though.
