The end result is usually more manufacturing moving back into the US. Although things like foreign cars "made" in the US are mostly just assembled here from foreign made parts. It does still create more US jobs though.

I think that is another item Trump would like to have happened with his tariffs. he desperately wants to be the president who can tell the voters he brought back industry and manufacturing. As others here pointed out that does take time so his approach needs to be cautious because we cannot kill the economy while we’re trying to revive it..

You say the Republicans have complete control but the margins are narrow and the Dems are filibustering in the Senate. Unlike the Dems who are in lockstep, the Republicans aren't all on the same page either.

we should see a boom in construction jobs and earnings in the meantime as they build all the new facilities or renovate older facilities.
