"Sorry dear, I can't join you at the inlaws. I have to work Christmas"
THANK YOU, UPS!!!
I heard in the next contract, they want to make Christmas Day a regular work day.Article 82 stating when in service crisis they can invoke this article to work regularly scheduled days off and weekends. Luckily they can only use this one every two weeks which is good but that means we are all working Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Not sure if they are only using it locally or nationally.
And the 70 hour rule all year.I heard in the next contract, they want to make Christmas Day a regular work day.
Is that true?
Why would they go back to 60hrs?And the 70 hour rule all year.

Overwhelming the system because you failed to shop and plan early is not a service crisis. Those packages will get delivered eventually.Article 82 stating when in service crisis they can invoke this article to work regularly scheduled days off and weekends. Luckily they can only use this one every two weeks which is good but that means we are all working Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Not sure if they are only using it locally or nationally.
