As you said before you do not have the IBT backing you. You sound like a problem employee. Remember what me and @Big Arrow Down...D were telling you the other day about the manager you LOVE so much, and is such a great guy? Maybe, just maybe, we were right....
I’m not a problem employee. I just don’t buy the BS some managers try to feed us. I’m a very low maintenance employee. The only time I bother my manager is if my paycheck isn’t right or I need to get off early for some reason. That’s why he takes such good care of me.

Answer the question, How long should she be required to wait while on unpaid status?
As far as I know if you are only required to take break if working 6. She can take the mandatory break up with someone else. We never take a break while waiting on freight, We are on the clock and taking it easy playing ping pong or Dolly Parton pinball in the breakroom. Might be 20 minutes, might be 2 hours.

My point is if you don't want to work the 4 hrs given the circumstances with the weather, they just might not pay her guarantee.

And she wouldn't have minded staying under the same circumstances afforded your work group. Her status would have been unpaid. Now answer the question, How long should she have to be in unpaid status waiting for the work to appear? Does the weather give fedex a get out of jail free card?

Fight the power.

Your not union. You want paid for time sitting on the clock I suggest you rally the troops and try to unionize.
