Trump Shot!

Most of you know where I sit politically. I was at a neighbors graduation party yesterday when this occurred. Easy to say 95 percent of the attendees were Trump Supporters. A few things to get off my chest:
- I thought Trumps reaction to this was amazing. I always support the nations decision to whoever our president (or former) president is through the democratic process of election. It took my mind back to when Bush came out at Yankee Stadium and threw a strike after 911. This is a historic moment that we cannot even comprehend the effect of.
- I sat in a room full of Trump Supporters, (who by the way I do not hate, these people are my neighbors, friends & countrymen). They know that I’m a Democrat and still invite me into their home….
Point being I couldn’t stop thinking that whoever tried to shoot Trump was not a Democrat, most of you call them deranged leftist woke libs, but he is not that either. It is someone who doesn’t beleive in our country or it’s processes. A terrorist. Why the need to escalate and call names on both sides, this is an individual, acting alone, and to attach what they did to an entire political party is ridiculous.
- On my walk from the party, I couldn’t help thinking how glad I was that this idiot missed. Didn’t yet know that he killed an innocent bystander. I couldn’t help thinking that our country is so broken with unfounded hate, how will it ever get fixed? I felt unsafe walking home in a semi rural setting because some nut job just attempted this assassination. If he had killed him, I’m not sure we wouldn’t be talking about the beginnings of a civil war today. (And we aren’t out of the woods).

There are nut jobs on both sides, always have been, always will. I pray that our country can start to take a step back, not believe every social media instantaneous (and often false) post, and start to have compassion for each other. I feel bad for the people who had to witness this in person. Sorry for the rant, but please stop attacking each other, it’s getting old and some weak minded fools are starting to believe the rhetoric that comes from both sides.

You guys are missing the entire point. What is the similarity between the attempted Trump assassination attempt and JFK assassination?

IT WAS SO friend-ING EASY!.

We spend tens of millions every year on Secret Service protection using the best technology and the most complex protocols in existence yet it still happens and when it does it is more often than not incredible easy with the same..."Oh, :censored2:" response.
Bring us up to speed. How many attempts on major politicians since Reagan?

This is not a Democrat problem.
It's a hate problem.
There's way too much on both sides of the aisle.

Really liked this post.

Well said brother. I have many friends who are Democrats. They are good people who love this country. Love our union and want the best for working people.

Antifa/Anarchists are the big problem.
There is a fringe component. It appeals to the young, lonely, and outcast. They prey upon people like that. if the only thing you think about in life is politics and how it might destroy your life if you don’t get your way, there’s really something wrong. Especially at 20 years old.

Trump can win the middle left & right vote if he comes out of this with a compassionate and unifying message at the RNC next week. I will be listening. Many will be listening.
I fear him escalating the attack, (and I wouldn’t blame him, he just had bullet whiz by his brain for no reason) and what direction does that take this country? He can truly separate himself as a leader of the United States right now.

I agree with you. I hope he taps down the rhetoric.. although Trump does not seem to be a forgiving man. I’m not even sure I am in a situation like this. But a real leader would try and unify this country right now as best as possible.

My wife is a Principal. She has kindergartners that will cuss you a blue streak. You wouldn’t believe the number of grandparents raising their kids children. A lot this starts at the home. My son made a bad grade in 6th grade one time. His mom took his bedroom and made him sleep on the couch for doing bad in school.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

He’s pragmatic. So you may see him tamp the rhetoric down.

Then where did you sleep?

(I apologize I should not hold back). America 🇺🇸 needs to repent and acknowledge God. Fast..Pray…moment of silence…. Whatever you do Sunday give thanks for him sparing this country from being torn asunder. The incumbent is a feeble man wasting away. The challenger is a threat to anything that moves (except Russia). Be thankful for life and the fact your child didn’t witness you being harmed like his child did. Pray for the countless children that see their parents murdered daily.
this rhetoric is what brings the crazies out
