Trump Shot!

I agree with you. I hope he taps down the rhetoric.. although Trump does not seem to be a forgiving man. I’m not even sure I am in a situation like this. But a real leader would try and unify this country right now as best as possible.
Remember when Biden first took office he claimed he would be a unifier? How did that work out?

Most of you know where I sit politically. I was at a neighbors graduation party yesterday when this occurred. Easy to say 95 percent of the attendees were Trump Supporters. A few things to get off my chest:
- I thought Trumps reaction to this was amazing. I always support the nations decision to whoever our president (or former) president is through the democratic process of election. It took my mind back to when Bush came out at Yankee Stadium and threw a strike after 911. This is a historic moment that we cannot even comprehend the effect of.
- I sat in a room full of Trump Supporters, (who by the way I do not hate, these people are my neighbors, friends & countrymen). They know that I’m a Democrat and still invite me into their home….
Point being I couldn’t stop thinking that whoever tried to shoot Trump was not a Democrat, most of you call them deranged leftist woke libs, but he is not that either. It is someone who doesn’t beleive in our country or it’s processes. A terrorist. Why the need to escalate and call names on both sides, this is an individual, acting alone, and to attach what they did to an entire political party is ridiculous.
- On my walk from the party, I couldn’t help thinking how glad I was that this idiot missed. Didn’t yet know that he killed an innocent bystander. I couldn’t help thinking that our country is so broken with unfounded hate, how will it ever get fixed? I felt unsafe walking home in a semi rural setting because some nut job just attempted this assassination. If he had killed him, I’m not sure we wouldn’t be talking about the beginnings of a civil war today. (And we aren’t out of the woods).

There are nut jobs on both sides, always have been, always will. I pray that our country can start to take a step back, not believe every social media instantaneous (and often false) post, and start to have compassion for each other. I feel bad for the people who had to witness this in person. Sorry for the rant, but please stop attacking each other, it’s getting old and some weak minded fools are starting to believe the rhetoric that comes from both sides.
Sorry, but I watched Antifa thugs beat people in the streets senseless in the 2020 riots while Democratic mayors all over the country told their police departments to stand down. I saw our Federal DOJ allow protesters to illegally stand in front of conservative justices homes after the Roe decision which resulted in one traveling from the West Coast with the intent to kill Justice Kavanaugh. I've watched repeated attempts to demonize everything about Trump for over 8 years now. And in the last decade or so there's been an attempt on a national scale to play down the role of genders, to push the idea that genders are interchangeable, to permanently change the genders of small children, often with the influence of educators. So much so that these ideas are even an influence on our military. I disagree with the liberal Bill Maher about many things, but he's honest enough to say the far Left is pushing all of this and the Right sees Trump as a bulwark against it. Told the ladies on The View that. I agree we ought to start having compassion for each other but let's be realistic. Since the advent of social media there has been an attempt to control political and social thought and removal of anyone who viewed things differently than what the majority wanted on a particular platform. It took a very wealthy man, once adored by the Left but now mostly despised, to say it's only right that all views are allowed to compete. So conservatives can now voice their opinions but the rhetoric is being ginned up elsewhere. Want to avoid a civil war? Stop the unceasing efforts to force every far Left idea on us. Don't care for Christianity? No one is forcing you to join. And by "you" I'm talking about the nonstop rhetoric many on the Left are constantly using in attacks on our religion, as well as on law enforcement, the Supreme Court, and any other institution they deem standing in their way of having the social utopia they envision. We'd better start finding commonality as Americans or we will devolve into physical violence.

PS I didn't use the "friending" word. I used the other word starting with the letter friend that the FCC won't allow on the airwaves. But the shocking point remains. Incredibly easy and another massive security failure.

Going forward two big questions among main will have to be answered:
The mental health of the individual which will likely stir the debate in that area.
Was he using an assault style rifle and will it drive the movement to ban them?

Live by the sword....die by the sword....and Trump's sword is his big mouth.
He simply cut too deep into the social fabric of this nation....Made too many threats against too many people....And Project 2025? He's trying to run away from it but he can't. It is the most hate driven policy initiative since....The Final Solution.

So this guy was a 20 year old registered Republican who has only voted once and donated to ActBlue. I wonder how the legacy media will try to spin this one....

Spoken like a true wind bag. Leave the basement once and awhile. The fire department will have to cut the door frames to get you out.

Supporting political violence is not going to be tolerated here.

By either side.

Massively tasteless, and not OK.
