Wrong, go look at 1971 and removing the gold standard....also creating the federal reserve which is a socialist idea has done .othing but turn this capitalist country the wrong direction.

Edit: our capitalist system is only failing because we continue to vote for more and more socialist ideas.
life was :censored2:ty for workers BEFORE the federal reserve too.

capitalism only works superficially. but in reality its inefficient, polluting, incompatible with democracy.

LOL capitalism is inefficient? It's litterally the most efficient system at creating innovation. Government wastes 1 out of every 2 dollars. When you don't have to rely in a product or service you provide/create for +cash flow to grow your business its guaranteed to be inefficient.

Why do you think pretty much most modern technology has come from America and other capitalist society's?

alot of tech has come from government. computers, internet, medicine, space, etc.

capitalism is inefficent because it creates alot of products to sell alot of products which are rarely used. for example your book collection sits unused 99% of the time. i use my car 40 minutes every work day. microwave is used 1 minute a day. etc

and these products are shipped 1000s of miles causing all kinds of pollution to maximize profits on low regulations and cheap labor abroad. climate change is because of capitalism.

So you don't want books, cars, or microwaves? Lol I bet you would have more pollution if everyone still cooked over fires....let's just go back to the Stone age....

And the govt worked alongside private industry to create most of the tech during the space race.

Edit: if your book collection is sitting unused 99% of the time I can believe that. You should try reading them sometime.

libraries are much more efficient uses of books. rental cars are more efficient uses of cars.

we can have those things but we need an efficient system which capitalism is not.

were going to have nothing anyways the way capitalism is polluting.

nice to see your coming to your senses about efficiency ;)

And what system have all these things come about under? Oh that's right capitalism! Uber, Enterprise, etc. When the market determines it's no longer economical for people to own cars it will go the route of rentals. The government has nothing to do with it. I mean we could always get rid of Uber and go back to government run subways and taxi services that lose billions every year and bankrupt the taxpayer. Sounds soooo efficient! Remember when those subways were private and they profited and we're cheaper?! Damn those days were nice!

no the thing is we have a mixed system of capitalism and government. in reality its crony capitalism, always has been. they dont want free markets.

the only reason everyone has their own car which they use 1/24th of a day is because the real costs of everyone owning a car are not included. we dont have to pay for the pollution now, its everyones problem in the future. if that was factored in then everyone would not own a car. many industries are like this.

the car industry destroyed the US trolley system, they collude with big oil to keep us on gasoline even though its 2018, they mitigate public transit, and they rely on government bailouts and government to maintain the road system.

Are you working on an argument to support your claim that buying a Boeing plane does not trickle down?
instead of waiting to see if it will trickle down, give it to poor people to begin with.

poor people shouldnt be taxed, and they should make a living wage assuming a 32 hour work week.

You can't be serious.....
which part?

in terms of work weeks, workers used to to 12 or 10 hour days, probably even more. and then we got the 40 hour work week 70 years ago or whatever. time to reduce it some more. other countries have already begun. theres alot of unemployed people still and reducing hours can help more people get jobs, and pursue constructive activities outside of work like taking back democracy and government from the corporate occupation.

Actually it is factored in....it's shown in the marginal cost/ benefit. Govt taxes fuel to account for some pollution.
