UPS and IBT are in bed together

Oh you won't hear of any back pay.....these guys in office have given away the farm with their shady deals and the grievance process has become a joke. That's why management tells the members to file......well all I can say is if you are a union leader, enjoy your limited time in office,,,the members have had enough.
According to TDU the UPS/IBT plan sucks.

I think there needs to be some investigations done in the Atlantic Area Grievance Process. There is no way that as soon as UPS and the IBT made the pension deal that all of a sudden 99.9% of grievances started being lost. And the IBT remains silent......at least the IBT use to make empty threats publicly to make it appear they cared.

With ups spending billions to bailout these pension funds it's not surprising there's some sort of deals going on, is it?

Looks like Sheep Dog is onto something! The management also the Union representative s are staying clear of this conversation about the grievance exposure. Looks like I see more now of why our members voted new official s in ! Thanks for the insight. I'm sure there will be many locals that have had enough and follow by voting for a change.

I'm so sick of hearing people talking about voting the current IBT officers back into office. You would have to be a blind fool not to see that the international has turned a complete blind eye to all of UPS's stepped up harassment, retaliation and just plain work place bullying tactics. Especially in the last 2 years. And before any of you jump to their defense, I'm a 33 year union member, 31 of which are full time driver. I remember what it was like to have strong union representation. Use too management feared you filing a grievance....now they encourage you too. Our local never wins a case at the Atlantic Area Grievance Panel. When is the last time you ever heard of a member getting back pay????? I say it's because all the members who were under Central States Pension Plan,,,,.their business agents also negotiated themselves to be covered under the UPS/IBT plan, ,,,even if they were never employees of UPS.....don't take my word for it, request to see how one sided the wins are at the panel....figures don't lie but liars will figure.
My local gets people back pay all the time

Well I'm not TDU.... and could care less about TDU. Every time a member complains about the non-representation by the union....there is always a guilty person calling that member TDU. I'm sick of that too. You don't have to be TDU... to be a dues paying member that's sick of the shady Ness going on. I'm glad we are in the UPS/IBT PLAN. But the business agents don't need to be in that plan. You can be taking money from a company that you represent the members from......that's called racketeering.

UPS is saving billions of dollars with us being pulled out of central states. The money they are saving is a lot greater than if we were still in central states.... so NO its not acceptable for deals to be made to screw the members over just because UPS has too make the pension good. Let's don't forget the members getting the pension are the ones that made the company that money to start with.

Step up and be a steward. Posting on a blog ain't gonna do a damn thing. Why don't you be the one to represent the members?

I think UPS brain washes their supervisors to make them hate the drivers. I hear they tell them all the time "we are paying them this and giving them insurance on them and their family for free and a pension too. You brow beat them for this... if the supervisors were smart.....they would see....UPS profited 5 billion dollars last year.....they could have been giving you the same...so don't hate the driver.....hate the guys up top who are keeping your portion ...and using the art of diversion to make you hate the wrong people.

There are no paper agreements......sounds like by that request...you know that. Amazing that out of all my comments, you didn't deny the grievances statistics or the back pay.....You can apologize to the members.
Anyone who says something happened 99% of the time has zero facts. That's a false statement. You are a troll. A jaded troll.

Supervisors are like Jockeys because they get paid to whip a horse. If a stud don't run the Jockey will blame it on the horse or will find another that will.

Not stepping on my toes, you just sound like a cry baby. If you had the proof or skills I doubt you would be on a blog "venting" about non-representation. It sounds like you and Z are in bed together.

Let me know how that works out for you. You just made me want to campaign even harder. I'm going to go get some more votes. It for Hoffa Hall.
