Only e release's I will do are "my choice" and when delivering Apple products.
One instance, I saw a FedEx package at an old address for a customer. I knew where he moved to and when I got to his house I told him about the package sitting there. I by no means brought it to him. He appreciated it though.
You mean take the FedEx package from that stop and take it to his new house?! I don't think so.He would have appreciated it even more had you done the right thing and.handed the package to him.

Exactly. FedEx left it there at the address on the package. You pick it up and take it? That's stealing. You mean take the FedEx package from that stop and take it to his new house?! I don't think so.
Go for it. Not me.If I were 100% certain that the consignee had moved AND had a delivery for him at his new address you're damn right I would bring the package to him.
At the very least I would write the new address on the pkg and either give it to a courier or put it in a drop box.
Feeders was the right move for you.
Next time the guy asks, tell him you've been told helping him out could get you fired. It's not worth taking a chance of losing your job by doing someone else's.
You don't really have any choice---if the e-release is valid you have to leave the package.

You're a complete tool.
You tell this guy he is doing the wrong thing delivering a FedEx parcel, then explain in multiple posts how you do the same exact thing. Your mind is twisted. You are doing the SAME THING.
gbpackman29, are you new to the site?
Then why does it say on the note that it is still up to driver discretion? Tell me what your center manager will tell you if that pkg gets pinched? I'll answer for you. "Why did you leave it in an unsafe place?"E-releases are every bit as good as an actual signature.
I have viewed it casually over the last year or so, what's your point?
