UPS Freight - new hire

Hello all, newbie here.

I got hired with UPS Freight in October. I’ve passed training. However, I am only working 3-4 days a week. Almlat all the days I work I’m just doing 3-4 hour shifts. I get lucky once a week and do a 500 mile round trip for a nice payday on that one day. But that’s it.

Will this be the norm for a couple years, since I’m bottom on the work board? Or is it just slow season?

These $300 weekly paychecks aren’t cutting it. I’m wondering if this will be the case for a couple years, or if it will pick up in Jan/Feb.

move off the extra board job and bid into the city or dock/city combo. Plenty of hours to go around.
