Is our company trying to overload FedEx ground on purpose so we can command a higher price from other customers?Started seeing Home Depot boxes with FDX labels….this maroon even lost us the account from where she came from. Target shifted the majority of their volume to FDX and now Costco….this should concern all of us. Just saying.
Don’t give them too much credit in the area of strategic planning. This is still the same company that dropped off bikes to all the centers over 10 years ago with no contingency for flat tires. Is our company trying to overload FedEx ground on purpose so we can command a higher price from other customers?
.
Don’t forget our long term customer guarantee 10000 boxes every monthPretty soon we’ll ONLY be delivering Amazon furniture, Rogue Fitness, and Hello Fresh.
Oh no, no more 100 pound broken ceramic toilets?Started seeing Home Depot boxes with FDX labels….this maroon even lost us the account from where she came from. Target shifted the majority of their volume to FDX and now Costco….this should concern all of us. Just saying.
The FedEx driver ground driver on my delivery route not only has been using a helper but hasn't work at 7 days a week and hasn't had a day off in over a monthWhat accounts has Caren gotten UPS?How many accounts has Caren lost this year?
Yes toilets break, Costco food boxes are heavy, Targets a pain in the ass, Amazon doesn’t pay full price and so on but stops on car in my neck of the woods, are on a major decline. My center averages 45 drivers out a day between w/c, sick, vac, etc yet we still are giving guys days off most days. Even a low margin customer is still better then no customer.Oh no, no more 100 pound broken ceramic toilets?
Or maybe do you think that UPS is getting rid of some of these customers knowing they have to go over to FedEx ground and hoping FedEx ground will not be able to handle it. They will come crawling back to us at a higher rate.Yes toilets break, Costco food boxes are heavy, Targets a pain in the ass, Amazon doesn’t pay full price and so on but stops on car in my neck of the woods, are on a major decline. I was thinking about this the other day. Maybe this is strategic to get these customers to come back at the rates they should pay. I hope so anyway.Or maybe do you think that UPS is getting rid of some of these customers knowing they have to go over to FedEx ground and hoping FedEx ground will not be able to handle it. So many scenarios to choose from here.I was thinking about this the other day. Maybe this is strategic to get these customers to come back at the rates they should pay. I hope so anyway.
It's not that I don't, it is annoying when boxes fall apart because they're overpacked. But my experience for the most part with Costco boxes is that although they're heavy most of them don't fall apart. Now, dog food boxes...I totally agree. I just thought we could all relate to my original point.
UPS wants to do everything I can to get rid of the last mile deliveryIm guessing Costco, target, walmart samsclub is probably 75% of non amazon residential volume. UPS is now competing for the 25% left over scraps
That is Ups core business.UPS wants to do everything I can to get rid of the last mile delivery
Well maybe they want to go a different direction and be a transportation company because they got the network and all the last mile companyThat is Ups core business.
