What are these used for? I'll see them occasionally at big shipping customer on my area but half the time I see a guy in Browns getting out and the other half its just a guy in a dress shirt. I've always wondered

Usually to shuttle air around. I rarely see them anymore.

They may be used for a wide variety of things, from shuttling air/misloads between drivers to bringing employees from one center to another. I have seen one in Albany.

We have many, they're used for shuttling between large buildings and satellites and early am's...
I drove one in the snow. They don't go very well in the snow!

Fact or fiction???? I heard in "The City" they pay people to sit in cars etc. to reserve a spot for UPS trucks in the morning??

Fiction...but they used to pay for people to stay in package cars years ago, because of towing... We had one guy chain his truck to a telephone pole...he got towed so much...
Imagine that phone call to the office...
