What are you listening to? Part 6

Old Man Jingles

Rat out of a cage
My Grandson loves this group ... I tolerate them because I love my Grandson. And I like this song without any qualifications.
I have taken him to see them twice.
I never have been a Pop music listener ... I like music with no or very little vocals.
I love Elton John and James Taylor because the music in their songs is so good.
Coldplay is another Pop group I like ... music is very good even though the vocals are a bit whineybutt.

I'm listening to STS9 at Red Rocks this September as I type. Many of my friends went to this 2 day event.
I am going to see them for 2 nights this Thanksgiving weekend. I bought 8 tickets so I can give to my friends who are cash-strapped.
Interested @scratch?
Vapors is my favorite song by them.

Van Morrison kinda night,
this is for you @Whitelexus
You were very nice to me, I don't forget. It ain't from me it's from the one you love. You're a good girl. For you young lady..
You probably remember Boz Scaggs from the 1970's as a Pop singer ... in the last 20 years, he has developed a different sound. I call it Blues but it's not classified that way.

Here is an example of his new sound:
Danny Kortchmar plays guitar on this song ... he is a great session guitarist that plays on many a song you have liked over the years.

This is one of my favorite Jam Bands and they are out of Athens, GA ... almost Homies.
WSP holds the record for number of sold-out performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre at 57.
Jimmy Herring has been one of my favorite guitarist for over 20 years.
Jimmy joined the band in 2006 after the death of band co-founder Michael Houser in 2002.
I did not follow WSP until Jimmy joined the band and that is a regret on my part.

Looks like I get to practice walking between the raindrops for the next few days.
