isnt this the US festival of 1983? I always liked Tiptons SG and Strat with humbuckers and KK Downings Gibson Flying V. They changed to Hamer in 1985-86 and it seemed the classic Priest tone really changed

I chased these tones for many many years, and have gotten pretty close. The only downside is that i have realized a large part of the tone is a 100 watt Marshall CRANKED with probably an MXR Distorion+ pushing the front end and its just about impossible to play that loud at home and certainly not in a club
