One of the reasons you could never properly remake a movie like that. A true product of the time it was made that captured the aesthetic and atmosphere perfectly.

Well it appears they took the liberty of ing it up anyway. I'm sure I'll watch it at some point, but it's on of my favorite movies from high school, so im still busy seething.

I was looking forward to it when I found out they were making it but when I learned how much they deviated from the original, I decided I wasn't going to the theater for it.
