That is how they measure bitterness. The higher the number, the more bitter it is. A wheat beer tends to be in the 20s while stouts and porters are usually in the 40s. I've seen some IPAs chime in at over a hundred.It says it's 70 IBUs. I haven't figured that out yet, but maybe it tells you something!
