What is the job of porter?

Porter is a sought after job. Just a straight 40 hours a week and it pays well. I’ve only seen high seniority guys get porter positions. But being the germaphobe I am, it’s no job I’d want.

In our building an overpaid and unskilled janitor with the miraculous ability to “clean” a bathroom in less than 3 minutes but still leave the floors sticky from adult babies peeing on the floor, not clean the pee and crap spots on the toilet, not replace the soap or paper towels. Ideally the company should come up with a fancy name for garbage man. Taking out the trash is really all they do. Load up a single bag into an ireg cart and take it to the dumpster, smoke break, find another garbage can and repeat.
