Just from these responses it’s going to be a big divide between the part timers and full timers.
It has always been. Part timers have been left behind because they never fought for themselves, for one reason or another. And the full timers never fought for those that never fought for themselves. Now, they, or SOB, wants the full timers to fight for them when they won't fight for themselves.
Just wait till UPS releases what they offered to the Teamsters which was rejected. They would love for FT to cross because they dislike the PT employees. We got to hold the line and not let them divide us.Just from these responses it’s going to be a big divide between the part timers and full timers.
I'm actually surprised they haven't found a way to "leak" the figures, especially since it sounds like they gave a number SOB was comfortable with for FT. If he liked it, we probably would too. Instant divide at that point.Just wait till UPS releases what they offered to the Teamsters which was rejected. They would love for FT to cross because they dislike the PT employees. We asked for it, UPS refused to give one.I'm still wondering when we ask for the last best and final offer. At this point we should be putting whatever they offer to a vote.
I worked at UPS for over 20 years and one of the main changes I saw during that time was the quality of human beings that were new hires.
In the last few years it seemed only the dregs of society started coming through the door, people that were barely capable of having a drivers license let alone becoming a driver. My favorite person was the Samoan chick that would smoke a blunt as she drive out of the parking lot every morning, not a care in the world who saw her.
A significant raise will bring in significantly better humans through the door, which means better loads and less dicks drawn on the walls of the bathroom.
I think it really is a worthy fight, my own outside 2 cents
I have a hard time fighting for people who refuse to fight for themselves. I won't cross either, but getting a $10 raise for a guy who won't be here by Christmas isn't my hill.

I can’t front. There a lot of part timers here that are just completely clueless on any union stuff. It’s hard to rally them because most of them don’t give a . Again I’d rather they bumped part time to 20 and create more inside jobs.
Yes but they negotiated more so the offer did change so we really should demand it again. That way if the company refuses it will 100% be on them if we strike. If we get an offer we don't like we can easily point out why it got rejected. At this point no one really knows what the numbers are/were to get everyone away from the table. We asked for it, UPS refused to give one.
He asked for it again after they returned to the table, and again they refused. It's in the July 5 update in the app. He can't just hand us any random offer sheet, an LBFO is very specific and only that can be presented to us. Everything up to that point is an unofficial offer and protected by NDA.Yes but they negotiated more so the offer did change so we really should demand it again. Ah I must have missed the second refusal. Never mind. Everyone carry on.He asked for it again after they returned to the table, and again they refused. A lot of info flying around, pieces can be easily missed.Ah I must have missed the second refusal. Never mind. Everyone carry on.
And the only reason the Union cares about the part timers now it to try and show the part timers at Amazon and FedEx what a Union can do for them.
The Union never cared about the part timers before.
And I'll be suuuuuuuper pissed if we burn this bitch to the ground just trying to impress Amazon. And the only reason the Union cares about the part timers now it to try and show the part timers at Amazon and FedEx what a Union can do for them.
