You smell that?
I don't work for AmazonThis is also about getting Amazon warehouse workers to join the Teamsters. Fighting for the part timers plays into that strategy.

Ouch, I believe ours is 2011 now. I'm sure it's different everywhere.August 31st 1990
That is a very good point! I’ve already seen both of those things being implemented already. Also heard rumblings of the tues-sat workweek for everybody, or most. After seeing how poorly the part timers have been treated the last 41 years in contracts I don’t believe for a second that the Union has suddenly decided that Part Time Pay is so important that the members will strike over it. It DOES make a great news story and is good for getting Public Support to swing our way in case of a strike but what are opinions of the REAL reasons negotiations broke down? What is the real reason we may go on strike?
My opinions are the company wants to make things like attendance a Cardinal sin, and wants to make the work week for the vast majority of employees Tuesday-Saturday
You will!I don't work for Amazon
No you haven't, fake news. That is a very good point! I’ve already seen both of those things being implemented already. Also heard rumblings of the tues-sat workweek for everybody, or most.
Who’s going to do the work on Mondays? That is a very good point! I’ve already seen both of those things being implemented already. Also heard rumblings of the tues-sat workweek for everybody, or most.
Our whole automotive dept was split down the middle. 1/2 tues thru sat, half sun-Thurs. and they just started cracking down on attendance. No you haven't, fake news.
Nowhere has attendance (or anything similar) been implemented as a cardinal sin, nor is the vast majority being scheduled Tues-Sat
You haven’t noticed mondays getting less and less busy? I have, most of the volume is getting shifted to the end of the week.Who’s going to do the work on Mondays?
It has, but we still run 30 routes out of 40 on Mondays. You haven’t noticed mondays getting less and less busy? I have, most of the volume is getting shifted to the end of the week.
And when I do I will worry about Amazon then...right now, I voted for SOB to represent me at UPS.You will!
My biggest days by far are Mondays. My rural area grows by 50+ percent. Typical day is 190 miles and on Monday I'm pushing 250. My paid day goes from 9 to 11 hours. You haven’t noticed mondays getting less and less busy? I have, most of the volume is getting shifted to the end of the week.
How many on Saturdays? It has, but we still run 30 routes out of 40 on Mondays.
That’s what the Turkeys were for if you’re adventurous enough! And a new fleshlight
12-15How many on Saturdays?

Not this one?
Mainstream media seems to be pushing the idea that it is about the part timers. Check out the infographic at 2:23. I've never heard of part timers averaging 9 hour days at $20/hr. News report says this is what UPS is stating.I almost created a thread on this. For many, many years FTers have made it pretty clear they will not strike for PTers. Granted not all but most have said it at some point.
Now, with the IBT not allowing the contract to be voted on they'll have no choice but to support a strike for PTers pay. So with that said do FTers become vile scabs because of their own arrogance or do they stand with the PTers?
Personally I like that Obrien is not putting the decision in the members hands so that the PTers don't get walked over. Though we had something like that before called the 2/3 rule and we all saw how that worked out for that administration.
I COULD NOT STOP CRINGING READING THAT "TOP 5" BULL
UPS
Did you know UPS part-timers are eligible for up to $25,000 in tuition reimbursement from Day 1? Or that a part-time job with UPS includes health coverage? We're telling you what you really need to...www.facebook.com
