What is the worst day you ever had at UPS?

EC stops that take a long time and go back to center , they want you to run under on your planned day. They don’t care about service..they would never let a driver work 14 hrs in my Center.
This was the day after the storm, when we're supposed to go "clean it up" Since everything is uhh magically bone dry and clear. If you're not a 9.5 filer they'll basically let you rot out there as long as they're confident you'll finish.

Ever have one of those days where you wanna go all Bill Murray in Groundhog Day (that scene where he drives off the cliff with the groundhog, or wait, I think the groundhog is the driver)? What was the worst of it?

Why are you turning into such a puss lately?

Worst day at UPS? They all suck. What keeps me going is every Friday I use my paycheck to be closer to a wealthy, comfortable retirement. And I use those benefits for myself and my family to the max. Screw UPS.

Worst day? Easy. My first day driving solo.

I had no idea what the friend* I was doing. Didn't call in about needing air recovery until just as it was getting dark at 5. Didn't know one address from the next and ended up running around in the dark sheeting businesses closed at 6.

Started walking up and down streets because I didn't know where any of the numbers were. Finally stopped for lunch close to probably around 7:30 and sat there contemplating what a huge mistake I'd gotten myself into and questioning my life decisions. Too sick and stressed out to even drink water, went home and threw up straight stomach acid in the toilet.

Just glad that day's long behind me.

Had a huge party on a Thursday night. Sup even attended and told me I'd be off the next day no problem.

The sun came up before we went to bed. Called in at like 8:15 just to double check. We good? Nope had tons of call ins (probably all of the other bastards at the party) we need you. FML
Just reading that story made me want to die.

Half the lies they tell about me aren't true!!
They don't tell you any of the important stuff. Air by 12. I think that was about it.
Worst day for me was about 20 yrs ago. Nothing worse then walking up the ramp to the dock at a stop and turning around to watch your truck going across the parking lot. Not a good feeling!!

I was using the bathroom at a leasing office...pushing out the last few drops of pee about to shake it off and zip up...accidentally let out a blood curdling fart...walked out trying so hard not to laugh...cute little office lady was waiting outside absolutely disgusted

You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
Just reading that story made me want to die.
I mean I can look back and laugh now
But I guarantee I was legally intoxicated til about lunchtime.

The reason we had the party was my best friend and his wife came in on Thursday. Then we had concert tickets in St. Louis Friday evening.

Around 3 pm I start getting pics of my wife and her doing Jell-O shots off each other and they are all like hope you're ready to party when you get off.

I drove 2 hours to St. Louis after work to pick their drunk asses up from the concert and listen to them Bitch about me being a party pooper.

Great day let me tell you.

I can't pinpoint one particular worst UPS day but whenever someone on route whom I had a good relationship with passes away, it definitely gets to me.

My worst day was my first day. What the hell was I thinking. And now 20 years later I guess I may as well stick it out til retirement. Was going to School to become a teacher.

Second weekend of Saturday ground. 168 stops, 138 miles (in the city). Split all over God's green earth. My sporh was like 6-7. I was completely in the blind. They laid off every driver that was below me in seniority. I was at a residential bulk stop that had 9 large pieces. (furniture, rug, crap). Long driveway. Pulled out the hand-truck only to find out the extension was broken and wouldn't support any weight. I made a call to my center manager "Give me one solid reason why I shouldn't bring this pc back to the hub and walk the hell out". He couldn't do it, so that's what I did. Had another job lined up anyways.

My first apartment route, my on road soup was telling me the address and i was trying to figure out where the friend i was going, Busy main streets and trying to find little tucked away apartments that arent numbered while having the sup saying "we are spinning our tires, we are getting behind" every time i was looking for the apartments it made me wanna quit, then he decided to just scan every apartment in 1 big stop, not putting numbers for each room. He told me to organize while he was running the stops, soon as he runs back in the truck hes like COME ON LETS GO, like i knew where i was going.. After almost having a breakdown i told him, dude im trying..his response was, "there is no try only do" it made me wanna quit even more. I lived, but i have hated apartments ever since.
