When I worked there were around 26-28 of us drivers. Now there are 50 +. I don't know if they are that much busier or that we did twice the work back then.
Last one hired off of the street? October 2020. Last group of 22.4's converted to RPCD was about 6 months ago, but they all have 2020 seniority dates since they won their grievances from the company not following the 6-1 rule properly.
Rod, RPCD stands for Regular Package Car Driver. Our current contract created a combo inside/outside position called a 22.4. The company is working them as drivers for the whole day and paying them less.
