Who is Obama

I think you have it half right.......I don't think this is a issue.:peaceful:

Maybe I should get you guys back on track and focused on the real issues of the day and how they are handling it.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/19/us/politics/19campaign.html?partner=rssnyt&emc=rss

You are kidding right? YOU are going to get us back on track! BO doesn't even know how to show respect to the departed souls of 9/11. My nine year old nephew could have done a better job with more heart! HAAH!

You know the only way to really discuss the issues are for the two candidates to be side by side at town hall meetings talking to the people and each other in an open forum situation. Anything else is pointless!

It actually could be quite entertaining to watch BO stammer his way through every question without a tele-prompter at his side!!! LOL

I am amazed that you don't think we can google a left wing link if we wanted to! I would rather have a root canal! I am still feeling the last one I had 3 weeks ago so that is saying something.

Well put, Obama has no right to even think he will make a good president

Obama's 143 Days of Senate Experience

Just how much Senate experience does Barack Obama have in terms of actual work days? Not much.
From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working.
After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World, and fill the shoes of Abraham Lincoln, FDR, JFK and Ronald Reagan.
143 days -- I keep leftovers in my refrigerator longer than that.
In contrast, John McCain's 26 years in Congress, 22 years of military service including 1,966 days in captivity as a POW in Hanoi now seem more impressive than ever. At 71, John McCain may just be hitting his stride.

No, I'm not kidding.......I will not allow you to turn this into a Ms Manners competition. And I don't think McCain gets to set the agenda's such as a softball toss townhall meetings. One on one debates by the network affiliates work just fine with some populus interaction (invite Nader, Paul and Barr as well). When are you going to stop using 9/11 like a Guliani junkie as a crutch for your AARP out of touch canidate. Just recently his flailing on the issues of the recent economic woes from AIG to having a 9/11-like commision to review conditions certainly exposes his weakness on economic issue's, Which FYI is this country's biggest dilemma in case you haven't noticed. Once again you'd rather use character assassination than tackle real issues.

The economy isn't an issue for some people.

Tie said it best. It is a real issue. It is one little thing after another. It still has not stopped! He is not really concerned about the souls taken from us on 9/11. He demonstrates it for all to see.

This difference between BO and McCain is that BO pretends to care about you ... he really cares only about his hidden agenda.

McCain really cares about what you and I both have to say. He had a life altering moment as a POW and has put his country above all else. AND because he has ... the universe has opened up a lot of doors to him. He continues to put others before himself.

If his & Michelle's hidden agenda came out - He would slide in the polls dramatically!

The debates are BS! The best way to see a candidate is in a less controlled environment with people from both sides who ask the questions that down home folks want asked.... Not some POS reporter looking for the next scoop or gotcha moment!

Get Real!

I know deep down inside you and Tie don't really feel that Obama doesn't care about the 9/11 victims. But it's amazing at what lengths your willing to go and spread these cold hearted un-truths just to get your out of touch canidate in office. I believe McCain is a good man, and has been thru alot as a young man, but because we feel sorry for him that's not a pass that he deserves to open the doors to the White House.

Here is the big question..... I don't know what to believe or not believe with Barrack. I just don't trust him. Keeping that in mind I fervently question every thing he says or doesn't say (his actions).

On the other hand I believe that McCain cares about America and he does not have a hidden agenda. What you see is what you get.

I don't feel sorry for him. I have deep respect for him.

I am not spreading untruths - All of this is on video tape. You be the judge along with every other American. If you want to discount it and pass it off as nothing that is your right as an American and a registered voter.

Tossing a rose - no hand over the heart during the Pledge - no lapel pin (while running for a National office) - His wife - proud for the 1st time etc. etc. etc.

I have made up my mind.... something stinks and it isn't a pig with lipstick!

When B.O. had the 'slip of the lip' in his Stephanopoulos (sp)interview and he said "My Muslim faith", it just came out too easily!!! I don't trust him and it's not a racist thing because I would vote for Michael Steele in a heartbeat.

Diesel I could care less about spreading cold hearted untruths. I have a guy running for president that showed me he could care less about the victims of 9/11.

I remember the old clinton clip at a funeral where he is laughing with his buddies until he sees a camera at which point he acts like he is crying.Obama is the same way.

Many who witnessed the 9/11 memorial event will tell you that not only did NY Mayor Bloomberg tossed a flower but so did many of the victims friends, co-workers, and relatives. Buy looking at the photo, you will notice hundreds of flowers in the memorial ring and in the 2 squares that represent the twin towers it's obvious that many had tossed flowers as well. All this hoopla about tossing or placing flowers is just another desperate attempt to discredit a presidential canidate by using the dead victims of 9/11. Can't my anti-Obama friends realize that you are being used to spread propaganda thru the internet.-->:pet:<---Rep's

Diesel looking to vote for a president not the mayor of ny. There are many different ways to judge the candidates , their reverance for our hero's is but one of many but it is a legitimate issue.

My uncle was the Republican candidate for Congress in Cook County on the '48 ticket with Dewey. My dad used to tell me about all the horror stories of the Democratic Machine under Mayor Daly who was the father of the current mayor.

In 1960, Nixon vs Kennedy - it came down to Chicago and there was a lot of strong arm tactics used. Many accusations of ballot box stuffing.

I am going to pull a Diesel on this... because I can't prove it - I do know someone who might be able to give me additional insight but not right now!

I have heard (but can't substantiate it)....

Obama was chosen for the state senate when he was a community organizer - He was "chosen" for his eloquence and likability. The Chicago Machine thought he could be the 1st black President. They used their power to get him elected to the national stage and again used the Daley Machine to make him the keynote speaker for the Dem convention in '04. This was done to bring him into national prominence.

He was given bills to sponsor to give him credibility.

He is a disaster waiting to happen. If you think we have problems now, wait till he gets in and polarizes this nation with his socialistic and left wing policies.

It is an issue for you because you choose it to be. But your smart enough not to be influenced by a carefully edited internet smear tactic. Once again, if it's legitimate enough for the relatives of the 9/11 dead to toss flowers into the memorial ring than why can't you give Obama a pass?
Like I said "Non Issue".

Just another ad avioding the issues. I think we are all passed this.
If Team McCain was smart they would drop the "guilt by association" ploy, and start attacking Obama issue by issue.

Again ... we agree to disagree!

History will be much kinder to Bush then we (scratch that) you have been.

Frankly, some of us should be ashamed of ourselves!

We have life so good compared to a lot of other countries in the world. Those countries view us as spoiled little children. Not because of Bush...

We bicker and fight amongst ourselves - nothing is ever good enough. Our political parties are at odds with each other instead of working for our common good. We are screaming because our gas is $4 a gallon. In other countries they are paying $8 plus! This may not embarrass you, but it does embarrass me.

Your candidate is not a leader.... he is a good speech giver. He is very intelligent but is not a proven leader. He is beholding to the Chicago Political Machine and their only goal is ultimate power.

McCain is blind ... Blind to politics! He will work hard anyway he can to become the ultimate servant to his fellow Americans. You will see, if he is elected how blind to politics he will become.

He will be the McCain of years past. He will not be beholden to the Republican party. He will reach across the isle and do whatever it takes for us.

There is nobody of greater respect on both sides of the senate as John McCain. This is an absolute slam dunk no brainer.

I have republican and democratic views. I supported McCain in 2000 while the Bush campaign smeared him and blackballed him. All of the Republican reporters from Limbaugh to Coulter to Hannity to Beck hammered him. Now they are all for him. I do not know who to listen to any more with everybody flip flopping. John McCain is anti-union though which bothers me.

He also was and has always been in favor of deregulation. Now all of the sudden he is for it. The Glass-Steagal Act of 1933 was put in place to protect us from another Great Depression. In 1999 his recently let go advisor, Phil Gramm, added on a deregulation bill to a needed spending bill. This very bill gutted the Glass-Steagal Act and McCain voted for it. The Republicans have controlled the Congress and Senate for 6 of the past 8 years and the Whitehouse for all 8 years. The Republican President appointed the head of the SEC as well as the heads of many other offices.

So I find it hard to stomach when people blame Democrats for the whole economic mess. This is a problem that has been building for way more than 2 years.

The conservative approach is to stop bailing out those who would leach off the tax payers, like welfare, unemployment, etc etc

I support welfare reform, immigration reform, bankruptcy reform, earmark reform and so forth.

I have a BIG PROBLEM with the government bailing out all these wall street idiots with my tax dollars. If we are not to bail out individuals who make poor life choices and go broke or into debt. Then why are we helping the people on wall street that make multi-million dollar salaries and multi-million dollar bonuses?

Am I the only one who thinks something stinks about this.

I think the relatives have earned the right to do as they will and last time I looked they were not running for president.

His throwing of the flower showed a lack of understanding of his role in showing reverance to those fallen hero's. Either he did not feel anything for those hero's or he was ignorant of his responsilibities. Its one of those intangibles that gives you some insight into his ability to handle his duties correctly. Its another sign of many that he lack the experience and understanding to be president.
