We had a feeder driver that had 3. 3rd one was career ending. It’s incredible that they got their jobs back.
Paid $8/hr in '83. and 2003. Now in 2022 pay is $15/hr. Minimum wage.Because when we started in 93. We made $8/hr and we liked it. Not like these entitled millennials.
You sure do assume a lot of stuff. I declined a trip to the hospital after I sat in the break room and got my senses back. How does one know if there is a load retainer up if it's parked on a pad in the yard and it's dark? And so, everyone had a good laugh and just walked off? Really?
Here, there was a time when you didn't move that trailer until you had a load retainer deployed.
They didn't work harder.... Just longer, seniority rules no matter how you get there. Why? Because they make 3x what you do and they worked harder than you to get there and they used to load trucks before PALs and had to do it uphill in the snow.
White men can’t jumpHe told me I was unathletic
@11.19igrad … see ?I was paranoid about it. Always had the hand brake on and good and tight. A seasonal driver had a package car roll away, hit a parked car.
Because when we started in 93. We made $8/hr and we liked it. Not like these entitled millennials.
Hi, Safety is no joke Quad.Basically life or death....ok.
Here we go.
In college, there is a saying that everyone gains The Freshman 15 when they leave high school.
In feeders, I call it The Feeder 50 when
Lol…Like what I said before driving feeders is a big responsibility.
You think he is challenging yellow tights for his title of brown cafe safety chair??Hi, Safety is no joke Quad.
Didn’t they change that a few years ago??I was always told that roll-aways were a guaranteed termination, but every roll away I ever saw the driver got their job back, including a couple in feeders.
Yeah, 8 for him is higher than current starting pay, by a lot.Yeah that was probably worth like $30 in 2022 money.
Maybe? But the first rollaway I knew about in package was over 20 years ago and that guy got his job back. Last one I saw in feeders was maybe 5-6 years ago.Didn’t they change that a few years ago??
$15.64Yeah that was probably worth like $30 in 2022 money.
