Would you be willing to donate any money Brown cafe going?

Would you invest in the future of Brown Cafe?

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
I'm not going to pretend I'm the best suited person to run this site.

There are people with far more time invested here, and who would probably have a better personality for that sort of thing.

That said, I don't want to see this site go under. I have a lot of experience as a full stack web developer, and I could absolutely keep the site alive, or assist someone else if they took it over.

I would also be willing to contribute financially to the site for server costs, etc...

We can absolutely keep this site alive.
You have my support

Not sure, but the 1st of the month is when most peoples rent and mortgages are due….
Jeez… I have this bad feeling that I’m going to type in Browncafe any morning and it will say “Website Not Found”.

If someone is really willing to take the lead and run the site like Cheryl has, I’ll be the first to give.

“On average, though, you can expect to pay an upfront cost of around $200 to build a website, with an ongoing cost of around $50 per month to maintain it“

Just what I found with a quick search no idea how accurate it is.
It massively depends. I’m not sure their licensing agreement for the framework they use here. Then you have the server rental costs, which can fluctuate pretty heavily. And then you have to pay for an tech guy to do maintenance.

There’s just no way to tell without digging into the guts. Tomorrow I’ll message @cheryl’s daughter, and try to figure out who hosts us, whether or not there are recurring costs for the software stack Browncafe uses, and try to figure out what size servers we’d need to rent.

Aside from that, an in house tech working as a public service would actually make it cheaper to keep the lights on.

I don’t believe that
@IVE GOTTA PACKAGE 4U is absolutely right. The domain name is worth far more than the site.
