as it is right now you agree with me about housing prices and nuclear war
Nope. Just used those for the sake of the argument.

u just dont agree about climate collapse. housing prices alone is a real good reason not to have kids.
I know climate collapse is a scam.

You don't want to have kids because you are selfish. When you are old, and dying alone, you will curse your younger self.
The wretch, concentred all in self,
Living, shall forfeit fair renown,
And, doubly dying, shall go down
To the vile dust, from whence he sprung,
Unwept, unhonored, and unsung.

You make unrealistic demands. You expect the world to conform to you.

If you were willing to compromise on things, and be willing to work to make up the difference, you'd be happier.

This house is $125K USD.
Three beds, one bath in the Midwest. Low crime area, decent school system.

housing prices are up 25% in 2 years are they not

yet population is not up 25%.

its based on central bank policy IE nothing.

north america has housing bubble warnings again.

theres rental problems as well.

so no i will not move to butt :censored2: nowhere to have a kid bc the housing market is broken. but at least that is still an option....for now.

at the end of cornel wests masterclass on philosophy he talks about all these people who were misunderstood, not awarded, not popular, assassinated, condemned, crucified, marginalized, mistreated, incarcerated. this is jesus, MLK, mandella, socrates, etc.

its selfish to bring kids onto a sinking ship.

If you're saying there are bubble warnings, why would you say there's still an option "for now"?
If there is a bubble, it will end up popping, and house prices will get more affordable. That's how bubbles work.

So you are choosing not to have a kid because of your geographic preference.
Not because it's unaffordable.

There's a difference.

increasingly all areas are becoming unaffordable

debts rise than an economy's ability to repay. so were in teh midst of a slow crash. so i think ppl like myself will be less likely to want kids bc more and more of their money is just going to paying off housing prices

they had investments. u said its unique to capitalism
Did the Soviet Union have a stock market? Investing is capitalism. Capitalism is investing. You may have a degree of investment with socialism, but not communism. Goodness where have you been all of these years to be so unaware?

True, capitalists invest their money in their own business or in other businesses they believe will be successful. They don't just give it away though. They expect a return on their investment. Stocks happen when a business incorporates. They can sell those shares to others who believe over time those shares will be worth more. Was this a thing in the Soviet Union? Cuba? Without private investment what you have is money being spent by central planners. That's communism. They aren't expecting a return on their spending. Just the state deciding how best to allocate funds.

I’m still trying to figure out how a deep red state like Kansas voted this way.

Probably because it didn't actually change anything. It simply affirmed that the state constitution did not have built-in protections for the right to murder babies, or require that the government use taxpayer money to pay for the murder of babies. It also affirms that any laws about baby murder would be written and voted on by the legislature. It was basically a redundancy, and completely unnecessary.

But based on the reporting, I'd bet a lot of people thought they were voting against a constitutional baby murder ban. Those people probably have low reading comprehension, and do whatever the bots on Twitter say to do.

A lot of out of state money poured in against it. And yeah it really didn't change much. Just confirmed the state legislature could pass new laws about abortions. Did nothing to change current laws.

I understand that it was mostly for show.

But still, interesting for one of the reddest/most conservative states around.

Yes, how is this possible, all of your leaders and media heroes have been crying that supreme court banned abortion. Oh that's right, you people just lie constantly.

It was meant to correct the erroneous belief that their constitution protected baby murder and forced government to pay for it. Clearly a lot of people in Kansas have that mistaken belief. I'm pretty sure most constitutions recognize people's right to not have their lives ended for someone else's convenience.
