Yes. But you'll still pay dues. I've been a union member for over ten years. Before that I never needed one. In a huge company like UPS it's a MUST. If your in a good local life will be decent. If your in a bad, crooked, lazy and useless local like mine. Life won't be.

Why would you want out of the union? You get a PENSION! Go to Amazon and do the same type of work for a matching 401k that you won’t be able to afford to contribute to.
