Are you an elected official? Sounds like an excuse. Try it what’s it going to cost you

Indeed but I said it’s not a very effective way to communicate especially with the younger generation who don’t really use email that much
Not going to argue with you I couldn’t tell you the last time I heard anything from the local I was a member of
My point is the Teamsters do a piss poor job of communicating with its members.
I think this is on purpose keep the members in the dark and they won’t bitch as much

Well I’m telling you I agree with you and we have look for ways to make it easier to communicate. It is very costly and we do have to answer to our members for what we spend it’s definitely not on purpose.

There is one thing members at least in my local cannot say we have a meeting once a month except for Three months in the summer it’s been that way forever. If you show up no one can hide from you.

Our old guard is way behind the times.
Most locals do not have the money to pay a technical person to do their social media or computer type stuff. So the company that was offering these services to locals was upfront around $25-$30,000 then a monthly fee of about $1.75 per member. That’s a lot of money for most locals.
It’s called Fiverr. Don’t get me started. Waste makes haste.

I never understood this! What the hell does the local need to do for 3 months that one day a month Gen Membership meetings are canceled. To my knowledge my local has never taken any months "off" like that except for the beginning of covid. Then we went to zoom and now are still offering zoom and in person meetings.
