I never understood this! What the hell does the local need to do for 3 months that one day a month Gen Membership meetings are canceled. To my knowledge my local has never taken any months "off" like that except for the beginning of covid. Then we went to zoom and now are still offering zoom and in person meetings.
I think we tried to have them and no one comes LOL., vacations

Not sure what other day we can do it. No one would come Monday through Friday either. Usually have a pretty good turn out on Saturdays.
Ours are every third Thursday of the month at 7:30pm. We have I think 3 a year on Sundays (usually fathers day every year) at a different location further north so members up that way get a easier driver every so often. Those are 930am I believe. Can't remember the exact time.

Not sure who could make it at 7:3pm, we have a few Sunday meetings as well for people who work Saturday as they are needed

Nice. My main two concerns are pay increase and more inside work. I’m in the air though about a strike. Mainly because idk how many part timers will even care. I could already see a lot them being scabs.
You kidding? An excuse to get out of work? We don’t care if it’s unpaid!!! 💪

They double shift every night on almost every shift at my building and they still can’t get enough people at time and a half
Been triple shifting daily for the past few weeks, new hires come for the first 3 days then don’t ever show up again. That’s at $20 an hour. They are so desperate for people they bring them all the way from Trenton on a school bus.
