It definitely makes you a defensive driver. The wording is probably too much with everything else that’ll be on your mind while doing this job though.

Do you need to know every word of the 5s and 10s? For example, do I have to remember “Aim high in steering” or “Aim high in steering - imaginary target- baseball/dart board. Centers car in traffic lane. Safe path on turns. “Find a safe path well ahead””

Coincidentally, one of ours got into a minor tier 1 recently. Next day he made a big production of apologizing for it at PCM, "I've disappointed you all," "will do better," etc etc
