TIME TO MAKE BANK HANK

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOO

🎅✊
Way to go. Make bank when you can.

I support what ever decision you make. You can never return and make the cash you passed on.

My only advice is to put some aside and earmark it for something specific.

The flux yall startin' so early for?

10am in 639.

They try to flex out the drivers that show up 3 hours early to sort their load but who we kiddin'? Start time's 10, I'm not walkin' in that office until around 9:55.
Sometimes preload wraps early then we can start early.

Ive got like 8 hrs left, prob wont have more than 40 stops, I can sort my truck in 10 mins.

Get er done, call it a day.

I don’t know what to tell you other then we had a MOU and when it expired our local said it’s over national never had to get involved local handled it!
I am glad for you that everything went as it should have over there. It's not how things happened over here. After the 60 days expired the local told the company to shove it. Told the members they didn't have to come in. Then got a call from the international they can't instruct the workforce. They need to make an agreement with the company instead of telling them to shove it. Company has no interest in settling it because they can force us as long as it's not resolved. Local said ok we are at an impasse we need to escalate this to the co-chairs. Co-chairs want nothing to do with it. Company won't offer an agreement to the local that doesn't involve forcing in some group of drivers once other options are expended. So still at an impasse.

The way my management team has been acting lately, I have a strong feeling that if I have 40 stops tomorrow it will take me no less than 8hrs to complete my daily assigned duties.

And yeah, they're gonna throw me a bulk pickup or two. Cool thing about those is they're normally around some really sweet restaraunts nearby to grab a quick meal.

If you want to work then work. If you don’t want to then don’t. Why is this such a big deal.
Easy money for the guys who want it. Take the money and move on. I don’t care either way.

If you choose to work buy something you can use. Come summer when using it look back and tell yourself how you got it.
It's a big deal because these people are being charged with a sick day/call in. They are being issued discipline or adding occurrence that shouldn't be there, that will result in discipline when they actually are sick.

It's just an annoyance that members shouldn't have to deal with anymore.

The Co-Chairs won’t take ir on because there is no viable solution short of the one that nobody seems to want

Well the co-chairs shouldn't have negotiated language they couldn't enforce. Shouldn't have made promises to the membership they couldn't keep. And certainly shouldn't continue to pretend they did not do either of those things. When the West had questions about their pension they got their own special little zoom call to try to address their concerns. At least they were acknowledged. Our questions about this issue are swept under the rug. It is not right. When will O'Brien address this issue with the membership as a whole? Until he does morale will keep declining here.

No pressure here, atleast not towards me. Only a message asking if interested in working Y or N.
About half the drivers volunteered for today... up slightly from those who didn't last week. Routes are getting slashed on Monday and Tuesday so it's dog eat dog. Kinda crazy to pay more in attempt to slim the herd.

Still volunteer here in 175. For both sets of drivers. No route cutting but the volunteers were told they would be running their own routes(if bid drivers) only to find out that's wasn't the case for some. Only running specific areas. So volunteers are down and tack on the case of low hours for others and it might get interesting the next few weeks.

There is a solution, what they did in the rest of the country. My intel says that the company hired properly for the season in most areas then understaffed and did the 6 day in selected locals as a cost experiment to see which works better for profits. Unfortunately people like you are cheerleading that the 6 day experiment is perfectly fine and are not helpi g
