Some of our package cars have a fan in them. They suck. I hardly ever turn them on. All it does is blow hot air on you. If you want that, go talk to a sup. They are full of it.

Sucks for you, most of the fans in my local are like mini leaf blowers and the air from them is quite cool.

Oh man....I'd hate to think we are that weak. A bunch of crybabies! I live in the southeast where the heat and humidity can be so tough but it's really not so bad once you adjust to it each year. First week is brutal..after that it's just another part of the job. Drink lots of water before, during and after your shift. Eat light during the day and listen to your body. You know when you need a break and are getting overheated. You know who I feel for? Those guys that are laying roofs and doing yard work all day in the sun. You ever wonder why it's mostly immigrants doing that work? It's because we are raising a bunch of wussies evidently. Oh and Happy 4th. Lol :)

Wrong my friend. I have trained with the military in the the south, out west in the desert, Kuwait, and combat in Iraq in full body armor. Need I say more.

So you're aware of black flag days. Had 'em at Parris Island. Had 'em at Camp Geiger. Had 'em at 29 Palms. What point are you trying to prove? UPS is not the military.

For those unfamiliar, black flag is when all non-essential physical activity is canceled or brought indoors due to excessive heat at Marine installations.

Proving that you don't know what you're talking about. The body sweats to cool itself off. The main goal or target temperature the of the body is 98.6°. The reason the body sweats is to bring the body temperature down. Eat a balanced diet, drink plenty of water, and quit your whining.

Extreme high humidity doesn't allow your sweat to evaporate, thus eliminating the body's natural ability to cool. I think this is pretty common knowledge and the main reason there's more heat related illnesses in the south and east vs the west.

What part of my statement is inaccurate and how does that pertain to the science of sweat?
