We had 1 guy out of 40 on the 9.5 list back during my 1st 5 years. There were no overtime issues back then.

The last 5 years, every single driver in the center is on the 9.5 list. They abuse about half of us & leave the others alone. It's really interesting how they pick those that they abuse & those that they baby.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

They prey on the new, the weak and those that have proven to be collaborators over many years.

Overtime is nothing new. Back when I first started driving, I heard the term "UPS widow", drivers talking about their wives. Not too many gals on the road back then.

Even customers would comment on drivers working late.

I agree, but back in those days an in town route had 85 stops. Today that same route has 170. (Minus pickups)

It was more difficult mentally trying to figure it out. The physicality today either ends your career early or puts you on disability multiple times

Really doubt the stop count is that much of a difference. Anyway, that 85 took same more time than you can imagine. Everything needed signatures, you were indirecting all day, 1-2 addresses, then back to leave delivery note.

Its going to be 110 with the head index this week. I'm sure everyone will be blown out with 12 hour days while management blows up the DIAD with messages about hydration every 5 minutes from the comfort of their air conditioned offices.

Then they'll have the balls to ask you about your overallowed the next day.
