Anyone else see the message from Sean O'brien?

Anyone can adapt. How long will a strike or threat of one last? By then the shipper will be the one who wished we didn’t. That’s all I’m trying to say.
I think fedex will consentrait on the big shippers. Bulk pu and bulk deliveries. The massive stop counts will be the ones to suffer.

Criteria for a strike-cut in pay, reduction of benefits, 6 day work week, I wanna see telematics tossed out 100%, 9.5s are tricky because there are some lazy asses who run 5 hours over and file.
All of this strike chest pounding isn’t helpful, Union is going to reach a tentative agreement in a couple months, sure we can vote it down but that won’t happen.

Results from the 2013 Contract vote (Master): 34307 yes/30202 no (4,104 difference) and that after a full court press by the International in order to get it passed. A lot of the Supplements were voted down on the first ballot including the major one (The Central).

Again with only 30 percent of the members even turning in a ballot anything can happen. Also we have to see just how good of a contract that the negotiators will put out for their members to vote on, in "97" Carey did not even allow the contract to be voted on till after the strike. It was just too important for the international to risk a fear driven result.

The Supplements will play a big part on whether this one gets ratified. The presentation that the international has to provide to the locals and there responses would be interesting, a lot of competing interests out there.

Why do you think the teamsters recruited scabs?
Dude, you say youve been with ups for 25 yrs. You say you wont have a job after a strike in 2018, not having enough seniority to work. You say you worked for the competition (evidently driving) in 97.
You say a lot of things that dont add up dude.
You a management troll with a speed boat made in china?
I wasnt going to answer your telling posts after you announced that you moved our struck goods and hoped to do it again given the opportunity but dude, your stories dont add up.
This is my last, best, and final response. Give it the old atlanta falcon try. Dig out of this one.

Or at least put it on our cars Mondays and Fridays to balance out the routes. They are still paying money into our pension and health insurance. That package car isn't making any money being parked outside.
They cut us down to the bone all year then they scratch their heads wondering why peak is always a disaster.

You don't build a church for Easter. If UPS didn't do that, Teamsters couldn't chant "Record profits!" every contract year.

If you were worried about assets making money, you wouldn't want a large percentage of them idle 30% of the days in a year (Saturday, Sunday, holidays).

I half agree with you. I know lots of people that own a business, sometimes they take break even jobs to keep their workforce intact for the busy money making times.

This company could do so much better bit they have to answer to Wall Street

I’ve worked at ups 29 years. Worked many jobs there. Drove in at least 8 buildings, in 4 states. I currently have about 7 weeks seniority.

During the tail end of the strike, the union had some people work for a competitor (I stand corrected, I only worked for them 1 day) others, I believe, worked 3-4 days. The teamsters sent teamsters to do teamster work.

You must be talking about my avatar. It’s a 2006 65 foot hatteras. Are they made in China now? It’s up for auction this week. You should bid on it. Unfortunately my dock is only 55 +-

I’ve been laid off twice in 5 weeks of working. Along with 5-6 others. Do you really think I’ll have a job after a long strike?

So you made bad choices and transferred between 4 states throughout your career. Now you want everyone else to take what they get so you don't have to suffer for your bad decisions.

Yeah sorry it don't work that way. You made your bed now sleep in it.

Here's what we don't believe. Are you telling us the TEAMSTERS sent you to move struck goods?
DHL swallowed up Airborne and SOME of them were teamsters. Not many.
Airborne moved some of our air/export freight during the work stoppage. The overflow was subbed out and basically ups's struck volume was up for grabs during the 15 day (plus probably a week or two) strike.
There's no freaking way Ron Carey's leadership sanctioned ups teamsters moving struck goods. Sorry. I was there.

Maybe it was a disgruntled local. But they were a Carey supporter.

Apparently they didn’t believe that teamster jobs at another company were struck goods at UPS.
Right. Ok.
Dude, they were hiring extra drivers because our volume went to them.
And you post about not getting our volume back (in 20 yrs?) but helped "the competition" successfully move what was our volume up to the strike. Ok.
