So in your world, say your walking into work(off the clock) and say a package falls off a belt onto your head injuring you, you're not eligible for workers comp? Huh.
Well, maybe a lawsuit. You weren't working but just walking through the building. Not working. Not my world....the world.

In your world(and a few others)......say you are stumping for the union(on a Sat) in the UPS parking lot....and get hit by another employees car.....you are eligible for workers comp? Really? Fascinating.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
Based on what facts(exactly)? SO, based on yours words......employees, the general public? General public is covered under workmen's comp?

UPS being liable and workmen's comp are totally different concerns.
It varies by state. But some cover you door to door, others as soon as you’re on company property, so if you’re in the parking lot and get hurt it’s comp. You do not have to be on the clock in most cases. I found many articles on it. Bottom line, if you’re off the clock, on company property, and you get injured, it’s most likely covered by Workmen’s Comp.

Based on numerous cases I’ve been involved with. Why are you so dense??

The case was made, it’s just wasting time at this point.
Correct, and every single work place injury I advise everyone to use the unions work comp lawyer. The company has an army of lawyers working against you. You would be a fool not to hire one yourself. Ours is one of the best in the nation, and he never loses if he takes your case.

Lawsuit? Sure and who covers your medical bills while you wait years to settle? Teamcare? Nope. Hit by another employees car on a not scheduled work day?I’m guessing their car insurance company? Feeder training is scheduled wether you’re paid or not by the company.
What’s fascinating is how dumb you really are.

Mostly, I think he just enjoys arguing and being a contrarian.

He’s still going to come back here and argue that he’s right.
He is retired and should be riding off into the sunset and leaving brown behind but comes on here to state his grievances on how the company and union have done him wrong all these years…so bizarre…time to let go.

Interesting......fuzzy grey and tricky.

Exceptions.....

Absolute? Hardly......at least according to that article.

The ‘premises’ rule

If an employee is injured on the premises of your place of employment, they are more or less “at work” and would qualify for benefits.

Premises are not limited to areas owned or leased by the employer and include areas under their control.

Various courts have held that employment starts when an employee arrives at a parking lot owned, maintained, or used by the employer.

Check your state. No one said absolute.
It not a definitive article, but you doubted that comp even applied to people off the clock, clearly you were wrong, as there are cases where it does. Oh, that article was from a law firm so naturally they will call it tricky. Your thinking on this is fuzzy.

I actually blocked him months ago because I got tired of his crying like a little girl. By the responses all you guys have had in this thread, I see he is still crying. I refuse to actually look at his posts, but from the responses. I know what he is saying.

He even bitched and moaned over the years about retirees having no life that they have to keep posting on BC. And here he is....retired and posting. Pitiful.

Say, Are you retired? If so.....why are you here?

Say, aren't you retired? What in the world are you doing on a internet forum about where you USED to work? Seems pathetic to me....chuckle.

Say, aren't you retired and of no consequence to anything at UPS?

Aren't you retired and not relevant here?

BTW, if you are retired....why are you bottom feeding on BC? Serious question.

You must have a very boring life coming here.....My God aren't you retired?

You don't EVEN WORK HERE!

right....Retired....

Why are you on BC? Serious question......relevance?
