Being a police officer in any capacity takes heart. Your going to see a lot of hard things. It's a calling not a job.

Take an Firefighter/EMT course for CPR which requires 50 hours practicum in an ER and ambulance ride along First Responder, If you make it through that then you are good to go- out with a hand gun, bald tires, drug addicts exposing you to HIV, gunshots and drunk dead kids in wrecked cars.
