Biden Puts 8000 Union Members Out of Work

First it's oil sands , most of which are strip mined which is falling out of favor. And don't let them kid you you can never truly 'reclaim strip mined land. The water table's destroyed and the ground is so badly disturbed that full reclamation isn't possible. It's dirty, hard to clean up and burns dirty.
That oil sand area isn't some pristine wilderness. And the oil sands are literally scooped up. Not like coal.

Forbidding drilling on Federal land also puts American workers out of work. Fracking on those lands means American producers have oil to sell meaning we aren't relying on foreign oil. What Biden did is good for the Middle East and Russia, not American producers or workers. The Canadian oil is part of that mix, and creates refinery jobs in the States.
Fracking also produces natural gas.

Very simple solution to the Canada pipeline issue. Canada can build it's own refineries. Even following the Biden executive order crude oil price hasn't moved much. GM on the other hand announced that it expects to be all electric by 2035.

Tar sands are stripped out up to 200 feet of cover Farther down then it's drilled for. No reason why Canadian refineries cannot refine their own bitumen .

Why build new plants when old plants are already working ?

Are you aware that refineries are built to handle only certain types of oil ?

If the technology is there. Toyota is working on a solid state lithium battery that can go 300 miles and recharge in 10 minutes. If they can make it work that would be a game changer. Americans aren't going to settle for batteries that limit their mobility. Millions of Democrats drive big SUV's.

Have a model 3 Tesla. Range is well over 300 miles. While it takes longer than 10 minutes to charge I see that time coming down in the near future. New battery technology is around the corner, and the Tesla is fun to drive. It is like having a new car all the time with software updates from the cloud every couple of weeks.

Oh, and this boy had a 1973 340 Cuda and ran it (sometimes) with bare headers back in the day... :teethy:
