Are interline discounts only for employee's of those particular company's?
"
Royal Caribbean offers interline discounts on select sailings to customers who are currently employed with a domestic or international commercial passenger airline, Federal Express, Astar Air Cargo, or United Parcel Service (UPS).

"Norwegian offers interline discounts on select sailings to customers who are currently employed with a domestic or international commercial passenger airline. The Spouse or Parent of a current airline employee may also book one stateroom if the airline employee is not traveling. Finally, retired airline employees and current employees of Federal Express, DHL Worldwide Express or United Parcel Service (UPS) are also eligible. Qualifying employees must present an I.D. badge from their respective company at the pier

I came by to check if a second cruise date had been picked and a fight has broke out. :dissapointed:

Carnival no longer gives interline discounts to UPS employees. The Carnival cruise had already been picked when Amy was contacted so she was not remiss in not finding interline rates for that cruise, because there were none.

Interline rates are not the be all, end all for pricing. I was involved in a group cruise a few years ago and the interline cabins for that cruise (RCL out of San Juan) were a block of balcony cabins in the middle of an upper deck. Premium cabins for a discount which is great if you want a premium cabin, if you don't...

What I am saying is that interline rates are not a discount for any cabin you may want on a particular ship but only a select number of cabins chosen by that cruise line. If a cruise is popular or during peak seasons interline discounts won't be offered at all.

A TA (Amy) should be able to tell the group which sailings (various cruise lines) have interline discounts or the most group perks (or group amenity points/ GAP points). Figuring out which cruises give the group the most bang for their buck would be a good place to start when picking out the next cruise to take. :peaceful:

Steve, for what it is worth, I would like to personally thank you for all of the work that you put in to organizing BC I. It is a shame that you and your wife were not able to go. I also think it is a shame that we have a couple of, for lack of a better word, hindsighters who have chosen to undermine what you worked so hard to put together.

I do hope that you will not let these folks dissuade you from participating in BC II or III. I will not be there for II (weddings are expensive, especially traditional ones!!) but do plan on being there for III.

Dave.

This mirrors my situation as well. I'm remorseful that I missed I, would like to attend II, but will more than likely have to wait for III. It is what it is and I simply have financial obligations to my children and Dave Ramsey goals to fulfill first. If I live like no one else now, later I can live like no one else.

Yup, 2011. Can't wait! I'm thinking the time will go by really fast...

2012 baby!!!! Start planning now!

I'm a little confused...:dissapointed:

Are the people that are saying they cannot go on B.C. cruise # 2 saying they cannot go...exactly when??

If we plan a B.C. cruise # 2...what time period are we talking?? And what time period would a potential B.C. cruise #3 take place....2020??:wink2:

Someone please clairify! Thanks

My 2012 was in reference to the ending of the world as we know it according to the Aztec calendar. (Big duh Tony!:peaceful:) Start planning for that "adventure." Fall 2011 is when others think is a good date. I am going on another cruise soon though. Can't wait. Though OI, I feel for you on that scrap book cruise. Though, if you pick a good destination, it might not be half bad. Do you know where you and Jane are heading? I mean really OI, someone else took the video of you "flying" eh? Meaning Jane was doing something else. So you wouldn't have to stay on the ship and scrap book.) And BTW, when might we see that video???? Still waiting. Feeder drivers flying....yeah....right. Flying for a donut maybe. jk John.

I have a great idea for a pre-cruise affair. How about if we set something up so you guys can come to Boston when I run the marathon? You guys could line up throughout the course and cheer STUG to the finish line. I would be honored to have my BC family there cheering me on. What say you?

I would love to join everyone but, my body will not let me cruise. My feet have to stay on solid ground so if you all go for Mexico all inclusive count me in.

I'm with you there ! Sofar 2 visits to Mexico all inclusive this year ! And both your spectacular !

I still wanna go check out Cuba. They have awesome white sandy beaches, and Turquios colored oceans.
I guess Americans can't really travel there, but if you have another passport from a different country, it should work.
But, also don't know if the US even has outbound flights heading there.

Speaking of Cruises, I am calling Amy in a minute to ask about a late season cruise to Alaska, in 2011. I have to have a solid date by November 2010, so I can pick the vacations. Any takers?
