April is cool, but my Wife can't make that month. My Wife is a Teacher and only gets summers, Christmas and Spring break, off. Spring Break next year for her is the week ending April 2nd. That would normally be fine and dandy, but I'm running the Boston Marathon on April 18th, 2011, and that would cut into my training. So if nothing can happen in June/July, the Wife and I will have to wait till 2012. Hope you don't mind if we bring the girls along.
Summer is fine with me...Pick a month..

My physical abilities are now limited, I can do a little at a time but not a lot. However I wouldn't walk across the street to watch a football game if they gave me the owners suite...to each their own devices.
I have some other cruise friends that are kicking around a late season Caribbean cruise for 2011, I think they are talking late July, if it worked out to combine these two groups that might help in making the better discounts. I know that's the beginning of hurricane weather, so that's kind of a crap shoot.
I understand that Carnival's newest ship will be porting out of Galveston but not sure when it is due to be there. However we aren't at the "what port, Itineraries and such details" yet.
I agree that at least a month should be settled on first.

I went to Cuba during Hurricane season, and ofcourse the thought was always there, that I could get stranded for a few days or even a week.
And, if you remember , Hurricane Betty just passed Cuba at the time, heading towards the Gulf while I was there !
Just cover yourself with a good travel insurance, that will pay for medical, change of flight, extra hotel costs, and hopefully wage loss.
It's the extra little cost to travel worry free.

Sounds like July is working so far...
Cheryl and I have cruised the Caribbean (Jamaica and other ports) in July before without any issues. Cruise lines are in full operation and plenty of people still cruise during this time with kids out of school and summer vacation time.
Cruise schedules and itineraries may well be impacted by storms, anticipated or otherwise, but the chances you'll actually be caught in one are slim to none. These days, solid engineering and satellite equipment allows cruise lines to follow the paths of storms (and quickly send ships elsewhere);

Shoot, I can barely walk responsibly !! This morning I did a move kind of similar to having one foot nailed to the floor and hubby was writing something in a notebook. It's for "putting me in a home".
The move was because I was torn between which chore to do first. We laughed so hard....I guess it was a location joke (you had to be there).

yeah guys , this is getting out of hand. It is very distracting and tiring to try to follow a thread only to have it get diverted with all these unwarranted attacks directed towards Klein . I for one resolve to report any future offenders to the moderators, so Cachsux, Stug, Lucifer,tieguy , over95 (don't think ur remark about a so-called "Kleindle" not working in over a year , went unnoticed) , and many others, be aware my attention will be upon ur future posts.
It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye.
I assume you will now be part of the solution instead of the problem!
Oh, and by merely posting this you ( as well as me with this response) have contributed to this dilemma...thanks!

That's exactly the way it happens in Florida, so that won't be a biggie. The funny thing is that it makes all the tourists run for cover, letting the natives move to the front of all of the lines.

I think Klein is bragging that he can go to Cuba and we can't. Jk Klein. Wish we could go too. July is a little iffy for me with seniority at UPS, and me not being in the top 20, but it's cool if that is what the majority want. No problemo senor. Post responsibly??? You are actually free to travel to Cuba.
Just you'll need to go thru Mexico or Canada to get there.
Just bring tip money, or better yet, small dollar store gifts, of things they can't get there much, like coloring or text books, pens, crayons, etc.
They loved that much more then money !
