Amy did a good job. Spent almost 2 hours on the phone working out differnt combnations of cabins, decks, and what not.

If you plan to stay a night or 2 in Vancouver before the cruise. I would urge you to maybe rethink staying in Victoria (much nicer and very, very beautiful).
They have "walk on" ferry service. It's like $10 each way, takes about 3hrs in total to get there.

What wonders me however, is why you booked a cruise more then a whole year away, already.
But, I guess you like to get things done and over with ! :)

When it comes to booking your flight, you may want to consider Westjet or Air Canada.
In most cases cheaper then US airlines, and they don't charge for luggage.
Westjet 2 checked pieces are allowed (44 lbs each) , plus 1 carry on per person (22 lbs each) free of charge
Air Canada it's 1 and 1.

The reason for the long lead time is so I have the pick of the cabins on the ship. Also, I have to bid my vacations in November, so I have to know when to take vacation. If the price does drop, I get a refund for the differance. The price has already fallen 400.00 per person from 2010 published rates.

It will be a trip of a lifetime that's forsure. You'll need lots of luggage for those 14 days, too. From sommer clothing to basically winter clothing.
Tshirts and shorts, to sweaters and jackets and long pants....from compfy normal walking (running) shoes, to more of sturdy hiking boots.

What's next year ? A Gap tour to the Antartica ?
Air Canada and westjet always have great deals going on. Like right now, only $169 for a 1 way trip to Florida (10 hr flight in total).
And the free luggage will come in handy for you.
I'll give you these 2 websites, you can compare.... but every week they have different deals for different destinations.... you just need to catch them in time... it's always like book this week, and travel within 90 days. (but we;re not even close to next year, yet) LOL

We are going all the way to Prodhoe Bay, and the Arctic Ocean. My mother wanted to do it right, and dip her toe in the Arctic Ocean. I also get to see the Dalton Hwy, Of Ice road truckers fame.

Oh yeah, her truck was broken down, and she had to wait all day while it was being repaired. I remember now.

How 'bout a picture of those teeth now?
