Christianity

This is Jesus teaching or Paul?
This is Christ's chosen Apostle, inspired by the Holy.Spirit, teaching. But then you don't accept that Jesus physically threw the merchants and money changers out of the temple either. Seems you have your idea of how Christianity ought to be and when you come across something you disagree with you reject it.

Paul was definitely a troubled soul. But he sure was a great example of faith in Jesus.

For someone who is a non believer he sure enjoys diving neck deep into it. Really thinks that by trying to repeat how stupid Christ following is that he is accomplishing something meaningful.
Well there seems to be a sizable chunk of Christians who believe this should be taught in schools, used as a basis of government or to limit other human beings individual rights.

Sooo we are just supposed to take y’all’s word that the fairytale is worth doing all that with? We shouldn’t take the opinions of people who have spent their lives learning Greek, Latin and studying all manuscripts of this book into account? People who have been to these claimed sites of biblical history and done archeological digs? The historians who are familiar with the findings of these digs and provided a more well researched and verified take on the happenings of that time period than a thousand year old book filled with claims?

I listen to people who have devoted their lives much more than you ever possibly could to this book and understanding what is written.

Archeological digs do nothing but prove the scripture. Historians do the same. The book is older than 1000 years. Moses wrote over 3500 years ago, John, 2000 years ago. 1500 years of writing.
Jesus confirms what is written. He refers to Noah, Jonah, etc.
You must be listening to those clowns in Atheism High School. You know the class, something comes from nothing.

You’re not reading what was originally written though.
You’re not reading it in it’s original language, it’s original structure, it’s original context.

Historians and archeologists do not back the Old Testament stories, much to the exact opposite. The grifters just insert unverifiable claims.

There is no proof of a global flood that wiped the earth during the claimed time of Moses. Noah not Moses, my bad.
There is no proof of an expulsion of a large amount of Jews from Egypt, etc.

It’s hilarious to me the guy that believes dinosaurs and humans lived at the same time also thinks he has a firm grasp on what archeologists believe about his silly story book.

And yet there have been Christians for thousands of years, and will be long after we are dead and gone.

I am not part of the sizable chunk you describe. I do believe in the person and teaching of Jesus though.

"We love him because he first loved us" (1 Jn. 4:19). "By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us" (1 Jn. 3:16). "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son, the propitiation for our sins" (1 Jn. 4:7-10).

God's love is indescribable. And, yet, his love is limited in that it cannot force anyone to be saved from their sins. Of course, that is the beauty of God's love, he has created us to be morally free in choosing right and wrong.
