We aren't told of the disciples baptism but we are told of the tongues of fire that rested on their heads as they received the Holy Spirit in Acts 2:3. Does that mean that we all are supposed to receive the Holy Spirit that way? No other examples are given of such, making the Apostles unique. But every example of conversion of Christians involved a symbolic immersion in water. Symbolic of Christ's burial and resurrection. Nowhere is there an example of someone just saying he wanted to be saved and he was then saved. The Apostle Paul was baptized. So was the Ethiopian eunuch. So was Cornelius. I'm going to go with their examples of conversion rather than any other way.I'll try my best caiaphas!
I don't believe baptism is a work, it's an identification of a new life with Christ. It signifies outwardly the change that has taken place internally. It's like the NFL draft & the player is joining their new team.
I believe this is one of the reasons the disciples were never baptized after the resurrection. They were already coaches on this new team, grandfathered in.
In your system, none of the disciples were ever saved because they weren't baptized into Christ after he rose. I mean, if that's the way in like you say it is, then you would think it would be recorded in scripture to leave no doubt.

When they do that it is all good to let them know about their beliefs and how silly they are. You have to be a pretty uninformed and silly individual to take the Bible so seriously you go around doing that to people.
