As a professed Christian,

Why do you do things that you don’t want to do?

As a professed non believer in Christ,

Why do you do things that you don’t want to do?

Or maybe you never do things that you don’t want to do?

Christian church membership question:

My local church has a list of 7 basic qualifications for membership in the institution.

I have attended this church and have been a member for 3 decades.

These 7 qualifications are reasonably new and definitely weren’t in place when I became a member. I meet 2 of the 7 qualifications yet I am still a member of this church. No one in leadership seems concerned.

I notice that in the Calvery Chapel Churches there seem to be 2 requirements for membership.

In AA there is only one requirement for membership.

IMO As a whole, I view AA as the most spiritually mature institution that I am a member of.

Only God truly knows. Knowing God as I know God, I wouldn’t put it past Him to make a way when there is no way.

God so loves the world!!!!

You know this. Your religious texts tell of this great love.

Does this love abide in your heart?
Ye olde make it up as you go doctrine.

If you actually know and worship God and not religion and doctrine then you know it’s true.
You've never answered my questions. If nothing happens unless God wants it to then does God want war, disease, crime? If he speaks directly to you then why doesn't he speak to large groups?

A serious Christian meaning that you are actually born again and believe that Jesus is the one true Lord. That you pray for his guidance for what you do in life. You yourself said you believe you can be Christian and Muslim at the same time. I feel like you use Jesus in name only to make your points on what feel is right and wrong in this world. Of course I may be wrong but it just feels that way.

I don't know what in the world the rest of your post is supposed to mean

im talking about "christian" hypocrisy. these people are out of their minds. they frequently violate the 9th commandment

i think if she was a serious christian aside from not doing what i listed, she would be involved in political and economic struggle to make the world more democratic which is the opposite of power abuse. her daughter doesnt work.

welcome to the world my friend. Christians mess up just like any human. Anyone can claim to be whatever they want; may be lying. Just because someone drives a vehicle you deem inappropriate doesn't make it wrong or sinful. It's easy to point fingers at other wrongdoers. Just be wary of using Jesus' name for your causes unless it's coming from a true faithful following belief

well do you think jesus would be driving gas cars?

i think not. i dont even think he would be driving electric.

yes "christians" mess up, which is why i give htem quotations. they need to be called out. they are not free from criticism. not criticizing the hypocrites make the religion worse.

well then stop pretending to be Christian yourself. If you're going to criticize just do it. Stop acting like you're coming from a position of authority. That's pretty much blasphemy. At least El Correcto is honest about his approach. As far as would I think Jesus would be driving gas cars? We'll never know and I've never felt the urge from prayer to beat the drum of green energy at all. I drive a gas engine and will as long as I can. I've never had the feeling it was sinful to do so.

who said I didn't? Just because I don't think your ideas are correct doesn't mean it doesn't exist. You using Jesus as agreeing with you doesn't mean much when you don't base that on a real relationship with him
