No. My point was that was his instructions to 1 man and not for everyone else to give away everything. Nothing to do with being a capitalist.

I quoted that verse to show that Jesus wasnt a capitalist, so if you agree that Jesus wasnt a capitalist, then we do not have a disagreement.

An over all rule, if you will of the Bible teaches the opposite of socialism. Which is to take from people who work(which is stealing) and give to someone who doesn’t or is poor. To give is different then to steal. Yes he teaches to give, that is not socialism. Socialism involves stealing. He teaches against stealing.

His word has no problem with capitalism as long as it doesn’t rule your life. We have to have an economy somehow. A capitalist economy is the best way to do that.

You have a valid point.
The part I'm trying to address is that the person on the receiving end of a welfare program whether it be governmental or not, could use what they receive for drugs or they could use it for thing they need.
I believe Jesus plays a large role in the decision an individual makes.
theres no way these capitalists are following hte golden rule of the bible which is treat others as you would want to be treated.
